The property was fine except because the title and pictures indicate it is an apartment I thought we had selected a studio apartment with a kitchen. Also we had a power outage for about 4 hours which is not properties fault but they had been notified about it, but did not tell us at check-in. Unfortunately we had not had our breakfast and had to go out. To their credit they gave us $20 to buy coffee etc. The other annoying issue was I had to pay a security deposit of $200 at check-in which was unusual. It was refunded immediately on checkout. They said they had had some issues recently. The lounge was very comfortable. Staff were good, except not telling us about the planned power outage. Shower rose should be swapped out from rain type to more efficient stronger type. The room was good apart from not being as expected. Cheers

The rooms were good. Staff ok until I complained about washing powder provided that bleached my 2 items($100 value). Photos provided via email but no correspondence. Infuriates me! Next time provide sealed washing powder. At least acknowledge your mistake and provide some kind of reimbursement for my loss. Send photos of items via email. Ncore

A great 3 bedroom apartment - it has almost everything you need. The place was clean and well appointed. It might be time for an upgrade to the mattresses and some of the kitchen amenities need replacing and restocking.

The place was spotless and my room was well equipped and comfortable. A little bit of traffic noise and some work being done next door (at the petrol station?) but all was good.

The Aspen is a renovated smallish old style motel, two things stand out, the quality of the renovations which have truly brought the motel into the 21st century and the genuine, friendly customer service displayed. The owner, who I dealt with throughout clearly loves his property and loves serving the customers, nothing was too much trouble and service came with a real smile.

Convenient location and friendly staff. Bed was very uncomfortable. Mattress needs to be replaced.
