Beautiful hotel with a very friendly and helpful staff. The Concierge Michael was phenomenal. He was very helpful and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was great.

Todella ystävällinen ja palvelualtis henkilökunta. Aamiainen oli sopiva ja vaihtoehtoja löytyi moneen makuun. Allasalue siisti ja toimiva. Itse uima-allas melko pieni, mutta mahdollisti erittäin hyvin virkistävän pulahduksen auringonottamisen keskellä.

I recently stayed at Occidental Atenea Mar and overall had a positive experience, with a few areas for improvement. The location is excellent—quiet, clean, and very safe. It’s about a 5-minute walk to the beach, 15 minutes to the nearest metro, with local buses and the City Tour red stop right next to the hotel. There are also plenty of great restaurants nearby, especially seafood options. Before arrival, I emailed the hotel with my schedule but didn’t receive a response in time. I arrived about an hour early and was told I’d need to wait or pay extra to check in early, which felt a bit inflexible. Also, the city tax charged at the hotel was higher than what was stated on my Expedia booking. One staff member, Adil, really stood out. He was incredibly helpful, friendly, and professional—offering great local tips (including halal food), suggesting I relax at the beach while waiting, and assisting with my luggage. His service truly made a difference. The room was clean and tidy. There were a couple of bathroom issues, but these were fixed quickly once reported. The mini fridge wasn’t working, although I didn’t report it. The rooftop was a highlight—great sea views, plenty of sunbeds, and a good food bar. The pool wasn’t heated, so I couldn’t use it. Checkout was smooth, with Adil again offering helpful support. Overall, a good stay with minor drawbacks and definitely room for improvement for the staff and management.

I ate breakfast at the buffet and the options were good. I didn’t use the pool area, the pool area would have been better if there was a jacuzzi. The only issue I had was with another guest in the room next to me which we had a connecting door, there was a guy for two days in a row that opened the connecting door on his side and would yell and pound on the door. I couldn’t tell what language he spoke.

Good location

This hotel was great. Great location with great views of the sea. Entire place was comfortable and clean. Area was clean, safe and very walkable to shops and restaurants.

Lets start with speaking the language brings respect. We didnt and the attitude was evident with check in and definitely house keeping. They automatically tried to up sell us on rooms. Then one room was the same but more for higher floor (better view). The jr suite was nicer fyi. The night desk staff was always friendly and helpful. Bar tender makes a good sangria. The pool area was nice but cold. I can definitely see a vibe when the weather warmer. House keeping came in room although sign sleeping on door. Nothing was taken cleaned room good. However, when i attempted to speak with her very rude and dismissive. There are no children but the hallway noise was evident. Also rooms on front you can hear and smell everything. With all this i would stay again just with my spanish speaking friends. Close to beach 3-5 minutes away. Near plenty of resturants with reasonable price foods. Taxi can be a bit pricey and city guide bus takes forever because it only goes one direction.
