one of the best place to enjoy Tuscany area. there are 2 very beautiful pool in the top of the hill, and a very nice restaurant facing west where you can see fantastic sunset.

A very elegant old vineyard with an amazing view! The quality of the restaurant was very high. Spa and pool area with thermal source makes it an all year round destination. Only minus is that it is quite expensive and that it is remote in location and very expensive to go around the area by taxi / hotel transport. Bring your own car is recommended. The hotel staff was very service minded.

Great hotelbuilding, on a top location! BUT: food & drinks in the hotel are very overpriced (for exemple: 12 EUR for a Coca Cola - 32 EUR for a Spritz - 265 EUR for +/- 1,2 kg of BBQ-meat (that was also cold!) and so on… You also have to know that the pool-watertemperature is about 36 degrees … hot… For the rest: great experience!

La vu exceptionnel le service excelent. Malheureusement une seul piscine et elle est thermal alors que la température extérieur est de 37 c. La piscine est à 40c Pas du tout agréable. Autre chose. Je comprend les prix de cette établissement mais quand même difficile de payer 28€ pour un apéros spritz quand suer les belles terasse des superbe village environnant les vende généralement de 5 à 6€ L’écart est exagérer et enlève totalement de commander un cocktail au abord d’une piscine. 40c ……… Le reste excelent pour nous

Beautiful location, views and rooms. The dinners and lunches are overpriced but the rest of the experience was fantastic.

We had a great stay in Castello di Velona. I traveled with my dog, the castle has wide gardens for dog walk. We had the room with garden and view on Val d'Orcia, the view is breathtaking and room is big. The massages are superb, the spa and pools are really enjoyable, it's relaxing to watch the vineyard while enjoying the warm thermal waters. Breakfast is high quality. For dinner, the restaurant is ridiculously expensive, they charge Michelin star prices but are far from it: good food but not exceptional if you are use to European standards and consider the price, and windows of the restaurant are dirty (which is a shame with such a view). Montalcino is only 10-15 min drive. Staff is really nice and helping.

Fantastic location, perhaps the most beautiful in Tuscany. Unfortunately, the restaurant and the food were not good enough for this price range, and the service should have been better. We will not be returning; it did not feel worth the money, especially considering there are many other hotels that offer a higher level of quality and service.

I cant think of a more perfect place to stay. It is a beautiful property, with a long history, in one of the most beautiful regions of the world. We had one of the more "basic" rooms but it was still luxurious and comfortable. Amenities were great and the food/wine was amazing. We had some logistical problems with some of our travel plans and the staff was incredibly helpful. We are very grateful to Andrei, Kristian and Valeria especially.

Un posto unico!! Camera ampia, pulita, arredata con gustone e bem climatizzata ma sopratutto con una vista magnifica su tutta la Val d'Orcia!! SPA magnifica con acqua termale a 36° e sebbene fuori fosse fresco abbiamo fatto il bagno sino all 7 di sera!! La.parte del bagno turco e sauna...super!! Abbiamo cenato al Settimo Senso...ottima cucina e ottimo il Brunello di loro produzione (ne ho comprate 6 bottiglie oltre al loro Olio di oliva!!). Prezzi e qualita del servizio in linea con le strutture 5 stelle lusso che abitualmente frequento solo che questo è un vero CASTELLO con acqua termale!!! Consigliato e consigliato è amcge prenotare in anticipo le espereinze e la cena!!

It was amazing!

There was no air conditioning in our room. It wasn’t too hot but not really pleasant sleep. Leaving the windows open at night in the country side up in a mountain is a little scary we could get bugs or else in the room. I am sorry, but A/C is a must for a hotel this level

Simply an unbelievable place with amazing staff. Castello di Velona is literally the definition of what a 5 star hotel should be. Perfection.

Definitely good property with views . Beds were not comfortable and could not sleep felt suffocating we have to open windows in night since temp is controlled central for property. Otherwise it was an excellent
