The part of the hotel that I’m in tonight is ok but doesn’t look near as good as the ads for the hotel

My girlfriend and I stayed in Hunton Park Hotel after a party. We were very satisfied with our stay, we had no issues with anything and were looked after by the night shift staff.

We were here for a wedding reception. Generally lovely grounds but the rooms really didn't live up to this splendour. Our room was quite small with barely enough space between the bed and walls to comfortably walk around. The common parts of the hotel were nice and the bar reasonable but nothing outstanding. Breakfast the next morning was quite underwhelming. The fruits on offer looked tired and unappetising. The 'hot food' selection was mediocre and there was a narrow selection of juices. The fact that there was only 1 coffee machine didn't help either. Additionally in this day and age, it was quite surprising to not find anything vegetarian/vegan on offer- or if there was we certainly weren't made aware. Most places have something on offer or at least are prepared to make something (sausages, bacon etc...) to order.

Loved the grounds. Disliked the rooms. Very small & temperature control set to go no lower than 18 & advised this cannot be changed. Breakfast was good - plenty of choice. Eggs hard, but to be expected when part of a buffet. However.... Evening meal was very poor. The chef on duty had a terrible attitude & clearly did not like to hear complaints. I opted for a rare steak, simple enough. Unfortunately it was inedible. I did not even get to taste it because I literally could not cut it! It was full of gristle. I asked the waitress to take it back, having shown her the problem. She returned a few minutes later with my plate. The chef told her that I asked for rare & rare is tougher to cut!!!! He sent her back with the same steak!!! The poor waitress (Roxi) was highly embarrassed. It was not possible to order something else because it was late & the chef had turned everything off! I rejected the food & said I'd just have dessert with the rest of my party. I have been cooking & eating rare steak for 40 years & so yes, I know steak & never have I ever heard such an arrogant response to a complaint - nor have I even seen a plate of gristle returned to the customer, expecting them to accept it! I did make a complaint at reception and I have also sent a written complaint for the attention of the general manager and the head chef. It's such a shame that our whole experience was ruined by one arrogant "chef"

Apart from not being made aware before arriving or in arrival that the pool was closed the stay was good. I mainly booked for the pool.

No one at reception on arrival so had to wait Swimming pool was closed Friday and Saturday Bathroom had black tape and dirty and the loo dripped all night so was noisy For a superior room not good If all these was better we would stay again as a lovely location

I could not get any hot water in my shower and the safe didn’t work. I was only there for one night and reported it at reception when I was checking out in the morning. When the receptionist asked how my stay was I said about the shower and safe but I don’t think she was actually listening so I had to repeat myself. She said she had made a note and would inform maintenance but made no offer of a reduction in my room cost for the inconvenience.

I booked this place for 2 nights on the proviso that it was a hotel with a pool. Pool was completely unavailable for the 3 days we were there because ‘over clorination’ so no quick way to fix. I booked a superior room but I was given ‘47’ and the room didn’t match the photos at all for size. It’s just a standard room with a ‘in room safe’ Mattress is very thin and tired. Terrible nights sleep because of it. Numerous issues with the room that were reported and mostly not fixed or ignored. (bathroom door wouldn’t close without slamming it, air con won’t working despite maintenance said they ‘fixed it’ The whole place is severely run down and needs some renovation. Restaurant served me an out of date J20 drink and some options not available. Would I return? Not a chance.

Godt. Dog fik vi aldrig en drink på hotellets regning for ikke at få gjort rent, som der stod. Ligeledes var døren til badeværelset i stykker og kunne ikke låses. Ellers var det godt

The room was small but comfy and cosy and perfect for one night. Staff were friendly, the only thing we was disappointed in was my partner wanted to use the pool on Saturday afternoon when we checked in and it was closed, then my partner got up and wanted to use the pool about 7:30am after seeing the opening times and went down and it was closed, asked reception and all they said was it was closed today, just dissapointing as that was a reason why we booked it.

1 night stay, to visit the harry potter studio, Really nice stay, Stayed in the main house, Bed , very comfy 10 out of 10 which is v important to us!! Great shower with good power, again important thing in my book Breakfast also very good, im being picky here but warming of the breakfast plates needs to happen as nothing worse than a cold brekky plate..but im picking as it was all tasty, and nice friendly staff, Yes the pool is just a pool with no sauna or steam room which is a shame but its not a spa hotel so im fine with that, So a good stay and will happly stay again when we come back to harry potter studio as its amazing if its your thing!! Lovely gardens aswell at the hotel aswell!!

Me and my wife had a well earned night away was lovely definitely be back again

Actually for a period property I was really pleasantly surprised with not only the extra space our room provided but peace, lovely service, good food and the overall cleanliness and feeling of the hotel. I would definitely recommend this way above a common modern hotel It is so much nicer to stay gere

Lovely hotel and staff were nice . Drinks expensive Bed not that comfy or pillows Milk was off and turned my tea orange Breakfast was nice Grounds beautiful wish it didn’t rain Would stay again

Voor een bezoek aan de Harry Potter studios is dit het perfecte adres. Prijs is prima en het ligt echt aan een prachtig rustig park. Alles is wel wat gedateerd maar het is wel schoon en netjes.

Food was mediocre. I had to request a refund on some food I ordered for room service. Was overpriced and very poor quality. Would expect a higher standard. Shop bought onion rings that were cold and soggy, steak overcooked and dry. Pool was very dated and definitely needs some tlc. Some of the staff were rude and looked at my daughter and I like were weren’t the kind of guests they’d like to have stay there. The pool was closed pretty much all day, that wasn’t advertised on the description when booking so very misleading. I’m definitely going to request a full refund for my stay

Receptionist was polite and very helpful on arrival. my room was simple and clean and bed was ok for comfort. The Gardens are beautiful. i sat outside for a drink and dinner but the outside furniture was in a poor state and not clean.
