The room I felt wasn’t very clean especially the bathroom we were finding previous persons hair in there, there was also no handwash, the mattress was so uncomfortable it dipped into the middle and was very hard, we also paid for the spa which is very nice in need of an upgrade so many things broken and the description on the website is very different to when your there, there was meant to be a plunge pool, there wasn’t it had been replaced with a sauna which wasn’t working

Room was ok but very hot. Turned radiator off Shower switch was broken. Couldn't change from one to the other head, both were on same time.

We had a spa and pizza experience. Very enjoyable.

Pleasant staff, small but well presented bedroom which adequately met our needs. Food was reasonable. Overall we were pleasantly impressed with what was offered and hope to return again when in the area.

room was clean but a bit on the small side. the bathroom whilst adequate and did have a rubber mat to put inside the bath, there was no handle to hold onto getting into and out of the bath and nowhere to put gels etc whilst showering. staff friendly and helpful. However the literature in the room states 'ask reception about local walks' but no one on reception knew about this when asked!

A hotel who had got it nearly right but not quite.

Lovely building in great condition and a really beautiful Victorian style courtyard which would be amazing in summer. Room are fine but could do with a refresh. The bathroom light was really dim and therefore felt a bit budget. Restaurant is very nice and the carvery was good as was breakfast. I would happily stay again

If you want a relaxed break this is a great hotel to book, just come back from a weekend away. What a joy to stay somewhere with such amazing staff. Room was lovely very clean comfy bed. Great breakfast we also dined in the restaurant and bar which was really nice. Had a three hour spa to finish off our stay. Will definitely be back.

Pleasant experience

I had a one night stay in the hotel while travelling for business. The hotel is lovely, staff friendly, food in the restaurant for dinner & breakfast was great and plenty of choice. Room (i had a single room) overlooking the garden was comfortable and quiet. I'd definitely stay again if i was in the area.

Had to use the overflow due to conference as we noticed on arrival not a problem, First walked in we were greeted no issues had some questions which the receptionist knew the answers Booked through Expedia don’t know if this is why I had to fill out a form but no issues there, The room was nice and clean as you would expect ironing board/iron in cupboard with a trouser press, kettle and nespresso machine tea coffee and pods etc were all topped up, bottle of water and what I thought was cordial turned out to be red wine upon opening it which is a nice touch, view outside the room was the bandstand with water feature again it was nice. Spa treatment we had the 3 hour package everything clean we had use of hot tubs, 2 saunas, foot spa, a steam room a snooze room also we chose the facial as our treatment and my face and never been so soft. Restraunt we were adviced that there would be a wait for food due to a conference on, not an issue only waited around 10 minutes, food is nice after we went to the bar but the only thing is about drinks there is no drink menu or cocktail menu so we didn’t know what was and wasn’t available. Breakfast was included in our room and it was a buffet style which was good Can’t fault this hotel

We stayed only one evening. Young woman on reception was friendly and smiley. Ordinary double room was very clean with a lovely soft comfy bed. We had the carvery in the evening which was wonderful. Amazing value for money. Breakfast was delicious with friendly helpful staff. We would definitely recommend this hotel. Our thanks to all staff for a happy stay.

Very quiet, did not seem to have many guests. Nice room, well presented. Breakfast mediocre.

the lovely young lady on reception was more than helpful as i was not feeling well during my stay as well as dealing with two other customers at reception . very good customer service

One night stop off, was quiet and pleasant, staff very nice. Was first day of our holidays so we enjoyed the bar!

Property is handy for travellers on the A1M north or south. Breakfast for those not wanting a cooked one is a little below par. The toasting machine fails to deliver anything other extremely well done toast (burnt toast). Two visits & two less than enjoyable breakfasts.
