The property was old and broken down. Cold water didn't work the entire stay, which meant that the toilet took an incredibly long time to fill up. After getting food poisoning, this became a much larger issue we'll beyond being annoying. I ended up filling the toilets main water reservoir with the tiny coffee pot. For the restaurants, you got the choice of a buffet for breakfast, the same buffet for lunch and you guessed it, the same buffet for dinner. The only time you didn't get the buffet were two dinners at the other resort's restaurants. If you stay 5 days and eat on site, you eat the same chaotic buffet 13 times, which wouldn't be bad if the food was better and changed, but it doesn't. Would I go back? Nope, I sure wouldn't. Bad drinks, subpar service, aging facilities and terrible food made this a relatively lackluster place to stay.

The resort grounds were impeccably maintained, with multiple pools and reliable internal transportation that made getting around seamless. The guest rooms were modern, spacious, and well-appointed. However, the level of service fell short of expectations. Staff interactions often felt indifferent, and guest requests were, at times, met with reluctance rather than genuine hospitality. Having previously stayed at Bahia properties in Mexico, where the service consistently felt warm, attentive, and guest-focused, the contrast was noticeable. A stronger emphasis on service excellence would meaningfully elevate the guest experience at this location.

We loved our stay! WiFi was good. The food was good. We didn’t get sick and stayed 5 nights. Granted we didn’t drink water from the sink or shower and we brushed our teeth with bottled water which they provide more every morning. We did drink water from the restaurants as its purified water. The cleaning staff was very polite and all our belongings were exactly where we left them so that made us trust them a lot. We had two a la carte dinners: Brazilian steakhouse and Maiko I believe and those were amazing choices. We had our 3 month old with us and it was still pleasant, they accommodated us to a first floor room. We were close to the beach, the pool and some of their restaurants in the Olas building. The shuttle staff were very friendly and attentive. They ran nonstop. The front desk staff helped us with a ride back to the airport as well! I would give it a five star but we were not informed that part of the hotel was under mayor renovations that are set to be completed by Dec 2025. Another small detail is that the public restrooms are hot, not well ventilated at all. Wish they had a family restroom so I didn’t have to change my baby in front of other female guest. My partner says the men’s restroom does have the baby changing table inside the stall. Little details of course but we have no regrets. There were daily night activities and kids were welcomed. We walked the entire resort at night. They keep security around. We didn’t want to leave. We will visit again.

What they should improve on is that the reception should share more information about the place, time schedules, dining area, etc. Another thing my bedroom was infested with mosquitos. The walls and the bedsheets were stained with blood. They should prioritize keeping the rooms bug free and change and clean the sheets often.

Food was not the best

A arquitetura do hotel é belíssima, com ótimas áreas de lazer e acomodações. Contudo, nosso quarto tinha problemas de iluminação (4 de 6 lâmpadas queimadas). O sistema de gorjetas é praticamente obrigatório para um bom atendimento. Funcionários que transportam bagagens ficam visivelmente aguardando gorjetas e demonstram insatisfação quando não as recebem. No bar das piscinas, a qualidade do serviço varia conforme as gorjetas: quem paga recebe drinks bem decorados; quem não paga, serviço inferior. Cardápios desatualizados e funcionários que negam disponibilidade de bebidas que claramente possuem em estoque. Os restaurantes são o ponto alto, com culinária excelente e especialidades saborosas. A recepção fornece informações contraditórias sobre o uso de instalações. A internet é precária, com muitos pontos cegos e quedas frequentes. Os pontos de alimentação próximos às piscinas têm boa estrutura, mas funcionamento deficiente, com máquinas inoperantes. Em síntese: hotel com boa arquitetura e mal administrado. Funcionários com treinamento irregular, motivados principalmente por gorjetas, tratando diferentemente os hóspedes conforme pagam ou não. Recomendação: se deseja uma experiência de qualidade no Bahia Príncipe, prepare-se para distribuir muitas gorjetas. Caso contrário, prepare-se para um atendimento negligente.

Great time!

We went as a group of 14 and had an amazing time! The place was super clean and really well taken care of. Food and drinks were great quality and lots of options. The staff was super friendly and always happy to help. Definitely a great spot for a fun and relaxing family trip!

Quality of food at buffet not good. Restaurant food has much more battery taste In general I love this place, after renovating rooms looks amazing. We already visit this place twice. I strongly recommend this place 😁

My family we can move to the another hotel because that one it’s very bad and the buffet smelling very bad

Front desk has horrible communication with it comes to customers We called front desk multiple times telling them we didn’t have a remote for our TV even went to the front desk took 3 days to get a remote for our TV, tried to order a bottle of champagne to our room for a birthday and never came, Room had a septic smell didn’t even bother to try and address it with the front desk because they don’t care anyways I would avoid this resort if you want a nice vacation

Beautiful place and somewhat well kept. This is our third time there but i can say i probably wouldnt go back. Even with the renovations we still had issues. We thought the food was just ok. No where near what americans typically eat but catering to the Europeans. The newly rennovated room was better than previous times but the shower had mold growing in it. The bed was wonderful but sheets were dingy and stained. The appearance of the place is beautiful and well kept but dont sit on wicker furniture with material cushions if allergic to bug bites. Whatever was biting were visious on my legs. Many others had the bites too. Come to find out they dont spray. Some of the staff were great but most in my opinion were just rude.

Buen ambiente, variada comida, limpieza adecuada pero las facilidades están deterioradas, los receptáculos no sirven, el abanico de techo estaba roto y gran parte del personal carece de amabilidad
