The hotel reception and dining room were very modern looking, however the room itself (we had a suite) was very dated and was not really set up for modern needs, e.g. there was only one accessible power socket in each room and it was located on the far side so phones had to be charged on the floor. The hotel itself was conveniently located close to the old town for historic sites and the wonderful port market.

El personal un poco grosero, me repitieron múltiples veces que lo que hubo reserva en Expedia no está garantizado y me dieron habitaciones diferentes a las que reservé. Llegué al check in a las 7pm después de un largo día de vuelos y recorridos y mi habitación no estaba lista.

My wife and I booked a suite (the most expensive room type available in that hotel) for an overnight stay to attend a conference. The hotel has not been renovated since the 1990s. There are almost no electric outlets in the room so it was difficult to charge our electronics. Upon arrival we went to the restaurant for afternoon tea, which was ok but not great. Upon return to the room I tried the jacuzzi only to find that using it flooded the bathroom! Everything in the room was shabby and basic. What is more, they provide a Nespresso coffee maker but leave only ONE capsule. When I asked in reception for a second one, they charged me! Then, next morning the breakfast included was dismal. It contained exactly the same food as the tea for two we had the previous day (recycling leftovers?). When we requested to extend our check out (which is expressly mentioned in their marketing materials) so that we could attend the event until it closed, we were sternly told that while this was allowed, I had to be down in reception by 1:00 pm sharp or they would charge me for another day!! The coffee break food in the event was exactly the same as we had had for tea and breakfast and the water servedsmelled so much of chlorine that it was undrinkable.Last, they chose to clean the bathrooms during the coffee break and there were about 200 people in attendance. All in all, a bad experience.

There no better way to wake up in Montevideo and see the water of Rio de la Plata. This is the view you can enjoy at NH Colombia. And that is what makes this hotel my favorite one in Montevideo so far. There is a lot more to like about that place. The service is outstanding, the breakfast great and the gym on the top floor offers a beautiful view of the city. The hotel shows its age a bit but this did not bother me at all.

Great location. The property itself has issues--the paint was peeling in the room. Breakfast was disappointing (for example the Orange Juice was watered down). Someone tried to come in my room at 8:30 AM. But there were great staff members--I was being kept up by a smoke detector light. Someone came and taped it so i would not be kept up.

Hotel ultrapassado , mal localizado e péssimo atendimento. Garçons sujos comida péssima . Nunca mais volto lá

O Hotel é excelente, bem localizado, limpo, os recepcionistas muitíssimo atenciosos, fizeram um mapinha para nós com restaurantes e principais pontos turísticos (fizemos tudo caminhando e foi muito bacana)! O quarto é bem espaçoso e ficamos de frente para o Rio de La Plata, uma vista linda! O quarto tem jarra elétrica e cafeteira, legal para quem quiser se hospedar sem a opção de café da manhã !
