The area is wonderful, as well as the hotel

Wonderful hotel overlooking the sea, absolutely great meals were had here, a terrific bar and a very helpful and friendly staff. We had a double room with view of the sea, the fort and the cliffs, it was epic and very relaxing. We can’t wait to return!

The breakfast was wonderful, everything you may wish for. The only true negative was the door to the suite constantly rattled with every gust of wind (very windy there) and it was a challenge to eliminate the noise. I have mobility issues and the tub/shower was not well suited for me. Staff was very attentive and most gracious at check in. Did not use the pool as was much too windy

Empfang und Check-in sehr freundlich. Zimmer war sehr sauber, ist aber etwas in die Jahre gekommen.

Spectacular location on a cliff top overlooking a beautiful beach. Front desk and restaurant staff were very kind and welcoming. Shared the dining room with a noisy bus full, but otherwise had a very pleasant stay. Enjoyed a fine walk to the next town along, but not too near the cliffs to west of the Pousada. Booked a premium room, but offered a suite at no extra charge.

We were pleasantly surprised with an upgrade to a junior suite. Very roomy, comfortable with a terrific view. Everything clean and spacious.

Staff is excellent and makes you feel welcome. Location is great. We had a room with balcony and beautiful view.

Clean, comfortable room with a great sea view. Welcoming staff, and a good breakfast. Appreciated the log fire in the lounge in the evening. Hotel is a little dated and the only negative was the rather strong air freshener. Fabulous location makes up for that.

Great location, beautiful beach and wonderful hotel

While a bit dated, the Pousada is well-run and pleasant. The views are beautiful. The food is very good. The staff is super nice and helpful.

The place was okay. When we first got there we realized the toilet was not functioning properly. No maintenance on site so we asked to be moved. It took 30 minutes to convince them to put us in another room. They really didn’t want to and said they would fix the bathroom the following day. Totally unacceptable. We left a day early even forfeiting our money. Rooms were small and smelled musty.

Wonderful and will be back soon.

Strongly recommend. We would certainly return if and when we are in the area.
