The hotel is dated and tired looking, the room was too hot but the helpful staff provided fans for the 2 rooms we booked. Unfortunately 2 of the 3 lifts were broken so it was a long wait for the lift and we were on the 4th floor. The room was clean and location was perfect for the beach. Staff are absolutely wonderful and couldn't do enough for their guests. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful. We had a room with a beach view, we also took our fur baby with us and the staff were very accommodating to our needs. Reasonably priced and you get what you pay for. We stayed one night so for us, it was good enough.

The main parts of the hotel were well maintained but the corridors to the rooms plus my room needed some attention.

Was woke up at 5am with what sounded like a shower, to open my room door to a huge leak coming from upstairs right outside my door and the light fitting swinging around right beside my door with water running down the cables

Would never stay at this hotel again, we booked a windowless room however this was 2 floors below ground. The lifts weren’t working , the stairwell was dirty , the corridors didn’t have carpet or they were extremely worn, trying to find your room and way out was ridiculous it was like a rabbit warren with very poor signage . I was told that the rooms had previously been used for asylum seekers and this was obvious given the condition of the facility

Room smelt of actually poo, the toilet was leaking, window wouldn’t close properly, staff were rude, on booking the room it showed a very glamorous room upon arrival it was nothing like shown in the pictures,

This hotel is in need of significant investment. We had booked a cheaper room without windows as we were just crashing out after a concert but we had to navigate a smelly and creepy underground warren of corridors to find it. The room was fine but we’d been left with 2 sheets of toilet roll and the shower curtain did not go right round the bath resulting in a soaking wet floor. There was a spare shower curtain on the side of the bath so perhaps someone was interrupted mid task (but no curtains rings so we couldn’t fix for ourselves). The staff were friendly and helpful. Not their fault that the hotel is need of knocking down

It was fine for a night as we were not in our room for long. Rooms aren't great and the curtains didnt block the sunlight. Very dated and the rooms could do with a bit of a spruce up

Room basis but clean and tidy Comfrey bed breakfast could be better would eat else were if not paid for in advance

The room was very adequate, we found it very warm in and around the hotel. Found it a bit strange that there was just two plug sockets but all in all a pleasant stay.

Dirty, dusty old and you can tell rooms need updating and proper clean!

The hotel was adequate, and in better shape overall than when last I stayed - some 5 years ago. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the bath towels were of decent size.

The corridors were smelly bed was clean and bathroom had a small amount of mold We went out for the evening to a concert When we got back the bedroom and bathroom had water flooding through the ceiling and through the light fixtures. We were afraid to be in the building. We left and went home we didn’t even sit on the bed. I have asked for a refund

Beautiful hotel and the sun deck gives a great view over the bay. Had problems with the key card as no one had told us you have to touch the keycard on the lock or it doesn’t work. Friendly staff and a great location. Entertainment is provided which is good. Down side was there were only 2 plugs and with a tv, fan, fridge, kettle and coffee machine let alone charging your phone you have to play musical plugs, windows only open a put 4” and you have to wedge something in them to hold them open otherwise you will overheat.

We always love it. Mainly because of the price. Very reasonable. I dont think we would pay more though as it is very basic.

We were allocated room G3 on the ground floor. Just opposite the rooms G1-G4 was the general toilets also just down the corridor was the staff access doors. The doors had no soft close and were continually banging, this continued until 3:05 am and resumed at 0700. We were then moved to a new room on the 4th floor, nice and quiet. Java coffee shop closed at 5:30 no where to get a coffee, only that in the room. Would be nice to have access to alternative drink to alcohol after 5:30.

..not very clean at all and very dated

Could be stunning but clearly in need of updating everything from the paintwork to the lifts. Staff were so defensive with other guests that were clearly right to complain, No staff to be found when looking on three different occasions to request more than two tea bars for a three night stay, didn’t want to eat there just in case. Bags of rubbish left to be opened by the gulls on the terrace bar, and furniture so old I got a nasty splinter. Complete cheek to charge what they did for our stay. Would not recommend unless you were desperate for a bed.

100s of bedrooms but only 2/3 lifts that only hold 3 people which then broke down. 18 minute queue for a drink, 20 minutes for a queue to check in. Dirty glasses everywhere. A double bedroom with 1 cup and 1 teabag. Empty soapbox in the shower so had to get out and use handwashing from the sink.An absolute warren down in the bottom floor with dangerously poor signage and in the event of fire well it doesn’t bear thinking about. Felt the staff were good but in very difficult conditions.

The room look like a building site. Plasterwork cracked paint work flacky. Bathroom there was little room betwheen the toilet and shower.yesterday morning after the toilet l found thè mess coming up the shower drain.l will not be staying there again.
