Lovely hotel, attentive staff

Beautiful place. Central to everything. Cashpoint right outside. Lovely views over the harbour. Pleasant reception area and helpful staff. Spotless room and bathroom. Would definately use again and recommend.

We enjoyed staying at the AP Eva Senses Hotel - Faro, but they do have numerous problems that need to be addressed. First, the positives: great location, helpful front desk staff, clean rooms. The negatives: Very small rooms, no individual air conditioning or heating (it is all controlled centrally - to cool off they tell you to open a windown or door!), very rude/unprofessional bar staff (both bars, 5th floor and ground floor, have very untrained and poor customer service), filthy/nasty bar tables and bar counter at 5th floor bar (had ants running all over the main bar). The bar staff and bar facilities need serious work!

Zimmer mit dem Blick auf den Hafen war toll. Man könnte den Klavierspieler zum Frühstück(welches alles hatte, was man braucht)morgens leicht im Zimmer hören. Die Feier im Restaurant am Wochenende dagegen war recht gut auf dem Zimmer zu hören. Spabereich klein, aber ausreichend, mit Blick auf Hafen. Sehr leckere Cocktails in der Bar. Sehr nettes Personal

Room was clean and comfortable. The room was very stuffy / warm and since it was February i was told no A/C available try opening the door.

Room was a bit tight, but the view was excellent. Only 1 elevator was functioning

Pros - good location. Nice facilities. Modern rooms. Plentiful breakfast. Cons - noise, noise, noise. We paid extra for the balcony and marina view. The air con is controlled centrally. We visited in the winter and the room felt so hot and stuffy with the balcony doors closed. The aircon was automatically switched to heating mode and we were unable to switch it to air con mode, we can switch it off but it still felt stuffy. I woke up multiple times a night sweating. This meant we had to sleep with the balcony doors open. This meant noise all night especially at the weekend. There were people talking noises, shouting, buses, cars, trains, planes and general traffic noise. You can hear the cleaning ladies dragging their trolleys and moving furniture around the hotel. The indoor pool is much smaller than expected and the water is cold. The jacuzzi and sauna are also small. There is a €10 per towel rental fee and €5 swimming cap fee (non refundable).

The suite was disappointing. It was sold as having a marina view but you could not see the marina from either the sitting atea or the bed. It was only visible oblique ly when standing

We had the misfortune of having to spend a night here on 23 Jan when our BA flight got cancelled What 4 star hotel has no shampoo or conditioner or shower gel. All we got was hand wash Both restaurants were closed for dinner so we had to eat outside It was raining badly so we asked if we could borrow an umbrella. Told not possible The small TV in the bedroom area had only 8 channels on it none of them English so why have it there ? Rooms have thin walls so you can hear all the people around you talking. Only one of the lifts was operational making the place hazardous and inconvenient Breakfast had lovely views and food was ok but nothing special Pool and top floor pool area was closed for renovations

No room service after 9pm disappointing when arriving late Most disappointing and misleading was lack of double bed in the suite - ie two twin beds pushed together- false advertising

Balcony offered a nice view
