Great for skiing

Lovely hotel and deluxe room was spacious. We went for half board but it only offers two sittings which we didn’t know when booking. We couldn’t get the early sitting on three nights so had option of either eating at 8.45pm which is too late after a long day’s skiing or having to pay to eat out which is what we went for when we couldn’t wait. Such a shame as otherwise the hotel would be great. Bed and breakfast would therefore be much better. Staff were very helpful but if you need to buy ski equipment, go to Intersport down the road which is much cheaper!

Had an amazing week staying at Hotel Montana. Great breakfast and accommodation with amazing staff. Good location. Everything on site. Would highly recommend.

Lovely hotel in Tignes Le Lac. Ski in and ski out location, friendly staff and great food.

Superbe hotel

Room was spacious and comfortable, very great atmosphere. Breakfast and bar staff were amazing and incredibly friendly. Highly recommend staying here as you will not be disappointed with your stay! Very clean hotel and great area to stay in if you are in Tignes :)

Gode værelser og flinkt personale. Alt i alt ganske udemærket og ok fasciliteter med en lille pool. Gode parkeringsforhold. Der mangler mulighed for lille køleskab på værelset.

Accueil sympathique et très joli hôtel. Ski aux pieds en hiver, c’était génial. Par contre, isolation au spa et courant d’air dans mes ascenseurs et dans la salle à manger pas top.

Bel établissement et bien situé, personnel très agréable. Boissons disponibles pour le goûter très appréciable. Spa un peu trop petit par rapport à la capacité de l hôtel. Très difficile d avoir une place dans le jacuzzi qui ne peut accueillir que 3 adultes max. Idem pour les transats qui ne sont pas assez nombreux.

Very nice hotel, very warm and welcoming staff, excellent breakfast everyday, nice rooms with outstanding views, walking distance to Tignes lake (but the incline can be challenging for some people). We had diner one night there and the food was delicious. Overall, we had an excellent experience there and would certainly be happy to return.

Toujours parfait comme d'habitude

Très bel hôtel avec un personnel très accueillant et sympathique !!! Très propre !! En revanche le spa qu’un n’en a que le nom était très très très décevant !! La sauna bcp trop chaud le hammam bcp trop froid et le jacuzzi presque inexistant !! Dommage sans cela le séjour aurait été parfait

On a passé un super séjour ! Très bon accueil et tout le personnel est véritablement sympathique, j'ai rarement vu ça. C'est vraiment un bel endroit, au pied des montagnes.

To rate that high, something unexpected has to be. It was the Staff & the Management. Staff extremely friendly and helpful without being too close. Personal welcome of the manager at dinner for a just stop over guest - one night. Enough staff at dinner and excellent trained. Drinks on normal price level.

Staff were abrupt and dismissive at times. No internet WiFi available the entire week, similarly international TV channels. Pool was cold when we arrived. Food has gone down in quality - and quantity since my last visit. Breakfast is very average with fried eggs which “bounce!”. For a hotel with a high price point, I’m not sure it his the mark is should do.

Our fourth stay in the hotel Montana but unfortunately we were left disappointed this time. The main issue was the evening dinner which was just ok at best but some dishes were poor/inedible. In previous years it has always been lovely. The hotel was completely full and the bar / waiting staff were clearly under pressure. This manifested in poor service. Some of the seasonal staff spoke neither French nor English so communication problems arose due to this. We didn’t use the spa this time as it was often full of children but it did look a little tired and in need of an update. Overall we were left feeling that the Montana had lost its magic.
