Our favourite place to stay in GC - would love to be back

Liked the apartment and that it had everything we needed they were very accommodating

Lovely big apartment with everything needed for a great stay. Comfortable beds. Well equipped kitchen. One downside was the showers; very poor pressure and extremely difficult to get a comfortable temperature with no mixer tap. Also, the hot was extremely hot (and difficult to balance with the cold) - to the point that it could be dangerous if a child turned it on unsupervised.

We had a lovely long weekend at Xanadu. We stayed in a two bedroom superior Ocean view unit which was large and very clean. The views were spectacular and the refurbished unit was lovely. Undercover parking was free and easy to navigate. There were a lot of restaurants within an easy walking distance. Highly recommend!

Overall this was a great stay. Apartment was huge and watching migrating whales from the balcony every day was amazing. Close to main beach village and easy to get the light rail or head out and about in the car. Pool and gym were great. Aircon was effective. Only down side was the wifi connection was really rubbish. We paid for the premium and even that was really up and down in terms of connectivity. But you don’t go on holiday to sit inside using the wifi so it wasn’t a major drawback for us. Would totally stay here again.

Loved my stay and planned to return at the end of the year I enjoyed the fully self contained ocean view appartment and the free secure parking lovely staff as well :)

Right by the beach. Beautiful view. Heaps of room. Kids and us loved it.

It’s a beautiful well maintained property. We definitely will be returning next year. Our apartment had a phenomenal beach view and it was so spacious. We loved our stay!

Clean and comfortable accommodation. Beautiful view and surrounds. Easy parking. Convenient location.

Staff were great. We had a 2 bedroom ocean view room, massive room which was great with 2 balconies. Wouldn’t recommend for families with small children as concrete walls and lots of glass furniture. Also got asked by a visitor for one of the mainstay residents rooms if someone of my colour was allowed in these buildings. (I’m dark skinned). The area is the apparent rich area so you do get glares and stares depending on who you are around main beach. Good location for sea world but far from the other theme parks. No housekeeping, rubbish you have to take out yourself and they don’t replenish your soap/toilet paper or detergent powders. So you have to bring your own.

Room view were beautiful. The toilets and carpets looked corroded due to the ocean breeze . Apart from that we enjoyed snd loved the clean nice apartment. Will definitely be back.

The unit was great .. lovely beach view .. we asked for an extra bed which was supplied and fitted perfectly in the little extra seating area near the kitchen .. out of the way . Great stay .

These are beautiful apartments which I've stayed at before and anticipate staying at again.

Extremely delightful stay. From check in to check Out, the receptionist was so helpful and trie their best to accomodate our needs. Will definitely return next year

Great week away with family. Apartment was a great base for a home away from home.

The Xanadu is on the older side but has been mostly renovated. The ducted air conditioning in our unit did not work properly, on heat, so an oil filled heater was provided for us which made the living area warm enough but in this day and age it should have done its job properly. Having the entire unit warm would have made our stay much more comfortable. Our unit was a good size, very clean and had a comfortable king size bed. The kitchen was very well appointed with good appliances etc. but both the kitchen and the bathroom could do with an update. The units are in walking distance to the beach and the main street where there are cafes and a grocery store. Overall, not too bad for our six night stay.

Xanadu will definitely be on our return list. The only thing we could fault which is outside their control, is the construction going on outside. The work started most days before 9am which wasn't ideal. The safe secure parking, indoor pool and lovely staff were their biggest wins.

Apartment was perfect for five. Very spacious and extremely well equipped. The children loved the pool/hot tub. Location was great for walking or using the bus.

Well run property. Great room and amenities. Everything nice, clean and well maintained. Experienced team running the resort style complex. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay

Just love Xanadu, I start my work day with a swim in the heated pool followed by a spa and sauna. The apartments are large and modern
