Had a first floor room. Room condition was in good shape and the fairly modern. Has a toilet that a man can use and a tall shower head. However, the AC did not keep the room cool. AC Dial set to 60 degrees but room was at 70ish. Didn't test the microwave but the fridge was a freezer and froze my soda and water bottles. the continental breakfast was basically bread products, Cereal, Hard boiled eggs, yogurt, coffee, milk and juice. Staff was nice, the area seemed safe and moderately low traffic noise. No issue with the internet and electrical outlets. Other then the AC, Fridge issue, and breakfast its a really good hotel.

My family of 6 stayed here in a multi room suite. We loved the space and the three beds. They also made sure we had enough towels without us asking. They had a breakfast but there weren't a ton of protein options (yogurt). The staff was helpful and friendly despite having to deal with a slightly rambunctious school group. It was in an older part of town and is an older hotel. It was fine though and for an overnight stay this was a good choice for us.

We stay here when passing through Gillette. Wouldn’t stay anywhere else! Front desk lady is the best!

The large gaps in the door, and could see outside through them. The entire place was disgusting. Water damage in the bathroom, drywall and plaster falling and peeling from the walls and roof. Checked in, and immediately left. The lady “checked me out”, but didn’t actually check me out, so I got billed for multiple days. If you want a cheap crap hole then this is it.

The room was nice and clean. It had 3 rooms for the 6 of us. Affordable. No smoke smells. I recommend if you have a large family.

Horrible experience and hotel is very scary environment especially with kids. We left the property and found new hotel

Had higher expectations of a Howard Johnson property. A very old building. Exterior needs renovating. Clean and quiet and convenient so the stay was just fine. Especially for the modest pricing. Would certainly stay there again.

The a/c unit leaked water and soaked my shoes and clothing in my duffel bag. Had to travel home in wet shoes…

for health reasons could not stay here. moldy and smoky smell. left 2 minutes after walking down hallway and looking at the room. Staff working here were great but could not refund money because we had booked through Expedia and not directly with their hotel.

Crap

The air conditioner did not work so the room was very muggy and the toilet was not flushing. Luckily my parents were in the room next door so we were able to use their bathroom when needed. The beds were okay but the pillows were extremely lumpy and uncomfortable.

There were agates in the gravel and it was awesome to rockhound in the morning before along day drive
