This hotel is in a perfect location for exploring Bergen. The staff was incredible. They were professional and friendly and went out of their way to make us feel at home. The breakfast in the am was excellent as was the dinner in the evening.

Nice, comfortable room in an excellent location. Breakfast was very good. Afternoon sweet break and evening meal offered a light dining option. Luggage storage was very helpful when we arrived early at the end of a cruise. Room was available a bit earlier than standard check-in, which was nice. Only downsides were super soft bed, long wait for hot water in the shower, conditioner was not filled in the shower, and single elevator sometimes meant a delay. Would recommend and consider staying again.

Breakfast and evening snack were delicious and plentiful. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Bed is comfy. Great location.

Hotel was right in the wharf area with easy walking to everything. Room was spacious. Staff was excellent. If you stay make sure you check out the clock tower. It has the best view of the wharf area. You need to ask at the front desk for a key.

We stayed here in advance and after a Hurtigruten Coastal cruise. It was WONDERFUL. The Flybussen comes right to the door, it right next to the harbour and the Bergen UNESCO site. The architecture is NEAT. The staff are wonderful and very helpful with local information. This si a great place, no doubt!!!

Location, service, room and food were all great

The architecture and decor were amazing. Friendly staff, nice selection of food and convenient location. We were put on level 5 and had two windows facing the city and the harbour. This was great, however, the windows on level 5 are smaller so if you are short in height, you may struggle to see out of them.

What a phenomenal location! We stayed here for several nights and enjoyed being able to walk around the Bryggen area. The beds were very comfortable and it was very quiet. Breakfast and fika were delicious—we were unable to make use of the dinner offering.

Beautifully restored and updated historic building! Check-in staff needs to be more attentive to room location requests.

Great location! Convenient and walkable to many places! Also great public transportation! The hotel also offered complimentary meals which helped the wallet! Will recommend this hotel!

The hotel was great and staff was wonderful!

The lobby was nice. The bed and pillows were great. So was the buffet breakfast. The room was tiny with literally no place to put our clothes. I sat on the floor trying to get things in and out. They were supposed to give us dinner for 2 nights and they forgot both nights (it was too late for us to go anywhere else), so we didn’t eat (it was supposed to be included in the cost of our room). We needed breakfast to go because we had an early tour and they gave us a piece of bread and cheese and an orange, which we threw out. Then they didn’t bother to clean our room so when we came back from a 14 hour tour, our beds weren’t made and our dirty wet towels were still lying on the bathroom floor. This was our big treat for our 35th wedding anniversary and it was a big disappointment. The guys at the front desk in the evening were really nice and tried to help. We won’t be returning and wont recommend this hotel.
