Clean room and convenient around

I booked it on Hotels.com and they charged me additional some kind of DMC - 11.49% and some weird accommodation tax - 4% over and above 13% HST. It costs me more than 40$ above the price due at the property quoted incl of tax by Hotels.com. So this is a ripoff to cover the discounts offered by 3rd party booking services. Hotels.com should investigate and reimburse. Also, the TV wasn’t working at all and I couldn’t watch Fifa Soccer games. Even their tech couldn’t fix it.

The hotel was clean. It was within walking distance of Niagara Falls, and the staff were helpful. Our room was also very spacious.

Convenient hotel for a quick visit

Pubic hair was found on the toilet and shower. I was not properly checked in by staff, so they only gave me one room. They made me call Expedia, who then called the property, only to confirm it was the Inn’s fault for not checking me into both of my rooms.

The room was fine, parking was close to the room. Close to what we wanted to do. Price was about where it should be.

At check in the hotel said it was sold out (after receiving a confirmation from Expedia) and that I was “upgraded” to a hotel nearby. The lobby floor was filthy. The other hotel “The Oakes” was close and the staff checked us in quickly; the WiFi was down until morning; the hotel was dated; the tile in the room was sticky and dirty, like someone dropped face cream or shampoo on it months ago and never cleaned it up; the sink by the coffee area in the lobby had black silt in the bottom like it hadn’t been cleaned in months.

Parking was easy , room was clean , Air Con was cool. Issue I found that in my room, the shower mixer did not work properly.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights, and unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. During our stay, our room was never cleaned after our first night, the beds were not made, and no one checked or refreshed the room. The towels were never replaced, even though we stayed for two days. We booked for 4 guests but only received 2 complimentary bottles of water for the entire stay. When we asked for more, we were told it would cost $1 per bottle, and no one informed us that complimentary drinking water was available at the front desk. Overall, we expected better housekeeping service and clearer communication. We hope the hotel can improve these areas for future guests.

Overall, my stay was disappointing. Check in was supposed to be available at 3:00 PM, but I arrived around 4:30 PM and my room was still being cleaned. I had to wait before I could use it, which was frustrating. It also seemed like the room had been cleaned in a rush. There was visible dirt and grime under the bed, on top of the headboard, and in the corners of the bathroom, so the overall cleanliness did not meet expectations. Another issue was that the bed always felt damp or humid, which made it uncomfortable to sleep. I am not sure if this was due to the bedding or the room itself, but it was noticeable throughout my stay. I hope this feedback helps improve the experience for future guests.
