This place was a huge disappointment. When we got there the room was stifling, and we couldn't figure out how to lower the air on the wall-mounted thermostat. There was no information next to the phone on how to contact the main desk, so I gave up and walked downstairs. The guy at the counter said that the room was at 28C which should be acceptable (it is NOT - that's close to 83!) and that the lowest he could take it to was 23 - or about 74 F. So the room temp is controlled by the front desk? Then why is there even a thermostat on the wall in the room? Well, we were leaving that afternoon for dinner in Ravello, and wouldn't be back until late. When we did get back around 11 p.m., it was warmer than ever!! In Italy, when you remove the keycard from the wall, nothing electric works - even the A/C! It was hot and stuffy. I didn't want to deal with the knuckleheads at the front desk again, so we just tried our best to sleep. We were so uncomfortable - finally I had to open the front window, which did allow a bit of cool air in but then we were subjected to the motorcycles racing around, dogs barking, people screaming at each other etc. We barely slept at all that night.
Oh, and they left us two bottles of water on the desk when we got there - nice! So I put them in the fridge. When we got back that night, the bottles were still warm - though plugged in, the mini fridge wasn't working!
What a nightmare. This place needs to be re-classified down from 4 stars to 1.
