The staff at the hotel were very nice. And the AC this time of year was working quite well in the room throughout the heat wave - a blessing in Paris in July. Unfortunately, their Internet networking devices had outdated security protocols (probably a decade old). ALL of my device's WiFi wizards warned me not to connect to their "unsecured network" because it was using substandard security protocols - so all traffic would be exposed. If you need to log into your work server or do any online shopping or banking, consider staying elsewhere. I looked at Executive level two rooms, and one of them had a much larger TV than the other, but for a four star hotel, I would have strongly preferred/expected that the TV's in all rooms would be a smart TV's with apps for Netflix and Amazon video, etc., or at least allow me to cast those services from one of my devices, but there was no support for either option. There were two English cable news channels, but the signal for one of them never worked. Like many hotels in Paris, things are rather compact in the rooms, especially the bathroom and separate toilet stall, but the materials were nice and the hot water pressure quite good. The bed was firm and linens were nice. The continental breakfast was quite decent. I spoke to the new manager and he said he is going to look into the internet security issues and ask the owner to consider internet hardware upgrades and smart TV's with casting capabilities. Ask ahead of booking!

I'd stay again. Reasonable option at edge of the Latin Quarter without the noise and good cafe's just outside the door.

We really liked this hotel. The AC was great during this hot Paris summer. The shower/bath situation was a bit tricky as there is no door between the bedroom and bathroom so water frequently sprayed into the bedroom, but once we figured it out it worked. If you have allergies, send them a message beforehand as they use room spray to deodorize, so they can make sure they don't do it in your room.

The room was small but it was very clean. The location was great and the staff was very friendly and helpful. My only complaint was how small the room was and I paid for a bigger room. But overall it was a good experience and I would stay here again. It was good for 2 people.

The hotel was a cool Haven in a blistering hot Paris. The amenities, staff and practice we’re all excellent. We love the location nestled next to the Sorbonne in a small square.

The staff are exceptional. Small little things they do to make your stay more enjoyable. From coffee in the room, mini bar, candies, water and pastries in the lobby. Always welcoming and friendly. Loved our stay!

The room layout was uncomfortable. The bathroom had an unnecessary step up and was very close to the bed. It was difficult to get around. The hotel is decorated beautifully. The room was cleaned daily and the air conditioning was great. A breakfast buffet is available. The staff is friendly. The location of the hotel is great with plenty of restaurants and transportation available.

The Select Hotel – Rive Gauche was easily one of the best hotels we stayed in during our recent trip to Europe! The value was exceptional, and the location couldn't have been better. It was centrally located with easy access to many of Paris's top attractions, while also being just steps from the beautiful Luxembourg Gardens—a wonderful bonus. The hotel has a stylish, contemporary feel and was impeccably clean and well maintained. What truly set it apart, however, was the outstanding front desk staff. The level of customer service was among the best we have ever experienced, and it made a tremendous difference throughout our stay. Our room was thoughtfully decorated and well equipped with a minibar, safe, desk, and a very comfortable bed. The bathroom felt recently renovated, with modern finishes and an absolutely fantastic shower. It was a pleasure returning to the hotel each evening after exploring the city, and we would happily stay here again on a future visit to Paris.

객실이 깨끗하고 큰 편입니다. 위치도 전철역에서 가까와서 어디로 이동하든 편리했습니다. 특히 RER B를 타고 공항으로 이동하기 아주 좋습니다. 시테섬이나 루브르박물관까지 도보 이동도 부담스럽지 않았습니다. 다만 호텔 자체의 규모는 파리 시내의 다른 호텔들과 마찬가지로 작은 편입니다. 엘리베이터나 복도는 너무나 좁고, 대규모 호텔에서 누리는 시설 편의성은 없다고 보시면 될 것 같습니다. 그럼에도 불구하고 저는 다음에도 방문할 의사가 있습니다. 지난해 9월에 개선문 근처에서 머물렀던 호텔에 비해 약간 비싸지만 가성비 관점에서는 여기가 나은 것 같습니다.

Neat, clean, contemporary lobby, walkable to a lot, but popular sites are about 30 minutes that way. Near shopping and lots of galleries. The staff is top notch.

This hotel is in need of a renovation

Perfect location for me and the staff were incredibly amenable and helpful. Nice amenities and absolutely loved my stay. Will be back.
