A comfortable stay at a once grand hotel, however it is fading and heading towards being another aldephi. It’s in need of an overhaul in many areas.

Beautiful Christmas stay rooms and restaurants A1 the only let down was the Christmas lunch which was cold uninviting and very small we were extremely disappointed with it and still very hungry afterwards

Lovely hotel , great facilities

Parking fees on top of an overpriced stay? No bath in a room with a balcony as paid extra? Lifts are a waste of time if the hotel is full as only 3 lifts which were usually full and a stay on the 9th floor through cold undecorated stairwells is not fun. Breakfast at the price set if not included is a rip off as even trying to queue for toast and coffee/tea is unacceptable. Lack of staff seems to be the overall problem and it’s beginning to affect their ratings.

Everything is was absolutely amazing

Accommodation was impressive and impeccable, the staff in the whole were great and high quality across the site. What wasn't made clear when booking from hotels.com was the £100 safety deposit per room so had to free up £200 for this. Also the parking is very expensive, there is no free parking near the hotel. This wasn't made clear either. So hidden costs.

Stayed for one night for my boyfriend birthday. The room was lovely and spacious very clean. We had food at the grill across the golf course food was lovely. Definitely would stay again

The hotel is good with plenty of places to eat and drink, however when we stayed over Twixmas it was far too busy. The staff in the restaurants were over run and the service and the food wasn't to the standard you would think. when trying to book the pool, we were told it was done however when we got to the pool it hadn’t been booked for either day. The room was clean and well presented.

Iroom size is lovely but now 'tired' after many years of use. Everything was clean apart from the teaspoons which were both covered in a white yoghurt type substance with long hairs on one too. They had not been changed from the previous occupation.

The staff are friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. There was a lovely, Christmas atmosphere in the hotel .

The staff were very friendly and helpful. My room was comfortable and clean. I am a coeliac and the staff went out of their way to meet my gluten free requirements. The only criticism I have was when we had dinner in the Olive Tree restaurant and my soup (vegetable) was just lukewarm, almost cold, and a little too spicy and salty. The roast potatoes were delicious but the broccoli was hard and undercooked. At breakfast the choice was diverse and amazing. A suggestion would be that when the dishes are replenished that what was lying there previously could be removed so that all the hot food is fresh and not mixed up with what had been on the hot plate for a while. Sorry if that sounds negative. The staff are really very courteous and helpful. I was given a lift up to the carpark because i was struggling with all my bags. I thought that was nice. The room was excellent very spacious and comfortable , the hotel surroundings was beautiful. Only disappointment was the lack of staff behind the bar at a large part only 3 staff to serve waited 30 mins to buy a drink and staff were rude and unorganised for that I would give the bar 1 star from 5

Breakfast was manic, so busy! Pool was like a leisure centre and so noisy, couldn’t say “luxury”. However the room was lovely and decorated fantastic for Christmas.
