All staffs were very nice but especially one of staffs was very helpful with full of hospitality.

This getaway was perfect, the room was clean and spacious. The staff were great. Well located, quiet. It was really enjoyable. Thanks for making a memorable vacation for us.

Breakfast is the same everyday, microwaved cheese omelettes and sausage. They only have one waffle maker so if you get stuck behind a family of 5, you're waiting almost 20 mins for a waffle. There was only one highchair. For a hotel that is supposed to be family orientated, it was not enough. At one point there were at least 3 kids who needed one. The rooms were quiet, larger than expected and surface clean, if you looked behind any furniture, yikes. Staff was always friendly and helpful. Considering the below average breakfast experience and lack of a pool or amenities, I would not chose to stay there again.

La chambre était un peu vieillotte mais très spacieuse. La salle de bain mériterait également un petit rafraîchissement mais tout fonctionnait normalement. Le petit déjeuner est assez limité. Mais la salle de repas était propre. Il faut également savoir qu’il n’est pas possible de faire le check-in après minuit: les portes sont fermées et il faut alors sonner. Les portes ne rouvrent qu’à 6h. Nous avons souhaité aller voir le lever de soleil (départ à 5h45) et nous avions oublié quelque chose dans la chambre… après 3 appels sans réponse, nous avons abandonné l’idée de re-rentrer… c’est dommage.

They need to clean the carpets or better yet, get rid of them. The Ramada chain could do so much better. The first room we went into was disgusting and stained everywhere. Two stars is generous, for the cleanliness. The staff made it okay. We were able to go to a slightly better room. It’s not worth the money.

Although the hotel was nice and clean it left a few things that were less than pleasing. Upon arrival they didn’t have my reservation, fortunately I had a copy of my confirmation. They were apologetic for the confusion and got me a room promptly but I am not sure it was quite ready for me as there were small things like cups not in the room. I was there with a coworker for work, (which was night work in Port Alberni) for 3 nights (checking out on the Friday) and we asked the woman desk clerk if they offered a late check out as we had been arriving back to the hotel the previous nights between 4-5:30am. She gave us an attitude as she told us that they do not allow this when a simple “no, sorry we don’t offer that” would have been sufficient. One of the mornings when we arrived back later than previously we decided to go to the breakfast buffet just after it opened. By the time we arrived it had already been wiped clear. Obviously this was most likely a rarity but still a little bit of a let down. The room was nice and the fridge worked great as did the AC. The blackout blinds were a very welcome feature as I was working evenings and sleeping during the day

This hotel needs major upgrades. Carpets were dirty and full of stains. Bed mattresses were old and sagging .Hallways were dingy and dark , no pool or hot tub. They provide small pellets of soap and shampoo

I am sure the Ramada is just fine....My issue is with Expedia.

Clean rooms, comfortable beds, and the staff was helpful (especially the lady in charge of the continental breakfast). For disappointing bits, of the three USB ports in the room (alarm clock and two different lamps) not one of them worked properly. Also, the tub had trouble draining the bottom couple of inches of water, which I had to chalk up to sketchy plumbing during the construction, since it didn’t matter if you ran water for a minute or 20 minutes, you still had a couple of inches of soapy water that didn’t want to go anywhere.

Room was spacious but there is no pool. Morning breakfast buffet is the same everyday. You also need to put a 50$ deposit to borrow a fleece blanket from the front desk.

We had a great experience here - the front desk staff were super helpful and very pleasant and the room was spacious and clean. The location was great - but there was traffic noise at all hours. Possibly the rooms facing the back of the hotel would be quieter.

The hotel itself is getting a bit tired looking and could use some updates. The staff is all very friendly and willing to help.

Inside a little old, but very clean

I enjoyed staying here last time so I did it the second time 😊 whenever I am in Nanaimo I will be staying here.

Room was not clean, dust on counter tops, heavy dust beside fridge, beds and cabinets. Bathtub has a horrible drain problem when showering. Food aria was very clean and well looked after. Did not like wooden cutlery, and did not have the option of real cutlery. Other than that, everything else was good.
