Regrettably the only part of the stay we enjoyed was leaving the hotel !!
Booked as a last-minute trip to meet friends we searched the Internet for suitable hotels where the Tucan was recommended, the dates worked and price was very competitive although at the time of booking it was not made clear the price was based on several caveats one being the role of ‘ car park monitors ‘ ....
it’s important to note if you book one of the special price deals you get the upgrade of hearing the rubbish men come and go at 2am plus a second visit later in the day , not only are you treated to the noise of clunking bins and machines but at 6am you get to see and hear the delivery vans bringing in your breakfast ,, but don’t worry if by chance you miss the excitement the cleaners will be sure to wake you up with the shouting outside to one and other with the possibility of some slamming of doors .
Working on the theory you got so drunk the previous night and slept through then try not to miss the breakfast , it’s a themed breakfast based on the 1980 tv series Hi-de-hi :-)
The food is fully catered for people with allergies , that in the fact of fresh food allergies so provided you like your food cooked the previous night it really will be a joy , we also recommend trying one of the 1 bean water coffee’s from the vending machines , if you don’t like your coffee strong or even to taste like coffee then you will really enjoy.
