Hotel Kugel Wien was a wonderful experience for the first stay of our honeymoon. The room itself was cute and romantic, and the location was great, a trendy area with some great cafes and a short walk to shopping as well as historical sites and the Museum Quarter. Christina was unbelievably helpful and friendly with check-in and offering recommendations for nearby restaurants, coffee, and sights to see. They even had a little surprise for us as they knew it was our honeymoon, and all the staff met us with smiles and warm welcomes. Would definitely recommend for a trip to Vienna.

We loved this property! Everyone was so cordial and helpful, in fact we had to give Christina (the owner) a big hug when we left. Breakfast was amazing! And tram transportation in front of the door, what else do you need?

Lovely small hotel in a perfect location - bus from train station and tram line anywhere you need to go in Vienna but walkable everywhere apart from Belvedere. Reception staff superb for directions and recommendations.

Hyvä sijainti, julkinen liikenne kulki heti ovelta. Hyvä palvelu. Omistajapariskunta erittäin avulias neuvoi ja opasti kaikissa kysymyksissä. Päivittäisestä siivouksesta sai luopua ympäristösyistä, sängyt kuitenkin pedattiin päivittäin.

Kugel was convenient and close to transportation to all the sights. There were a lot of dining options nearby. Clean hotel, with friendly staff. The hotel itself appeared dated. But it was reasonably priced with breakfast included it was value for money.

Nära allt du behöver i ett av Wiens charmigaste kvarter. Hotellet har en typisk österrikisk sfär - inte ett av dessa hotell som ser ut som alla andra. Stora rum och mycket fräscha badrum. Perfekt coronaanpassat också. Frukost med egen servering och mycket gästvänlig personal. Hit återvänder man gärna.

This hotel is lovely but it's the staff who make the stay so good. They are so kind and accommodating. There was work on the street during our stay which was very noisy but we were thoughtfully provided with earplugs and a complimentary bottle of fizz! The noise did not cause a problem. Breakfast is included in the already reasonable price and it varied and fresh - fruit, yoghurt, breads, jams, cereal, sausage & eggs, continental meats & cheeses, the staff even offered to make special vegan options and they are flexible with the times it is served. The room itself was very nice with a four-poster bed and chandelier. I honestly can not fault this place.

If you like a more older style hotel, this is it. Very quaint. However, the bathroom is new and updated. We liked it for its aged charm. The staff is super friendly. They upgraded us which was a very pleasant surprise. The breakfast was very enjoyable with lots of choices of breads and fruit spreads. They had a venison sausage which we quite enjoyed. The served some traditional Viennese items. Location is great. A few blocks from a local Christmas market, huge pedestrian shopping mall, and the metro to the airport. (one direct train). Walking distance (1.5 km) to many important landmarks. 2 min walk to a Schnitzelwirt Restaurant for great schnitzel. (delicious, affordable, large portions so do share) I would recommend this hotel and will stay there again.

Really enjoyed our stay at this friendly family run hotel. Service was excellent, with all staff being very helpful. Breakfast was excellent with good quality produce within a relaxed atmosphere. Well located for the tourist attractions! Comfortable 4 poster bed and good shower, only be negative was that our room had still to be refurbished. Good value for money!

Nice property in a fine location. We had two rooms, ours was very nice, our friend's was so-so. This property doesn't have air conditioning and there are streetcars running right below so may be a bit noisy for some at night.

It was better than expected in every sense. Reception was very good. Location was excellent. People were very nice and breakfast was good.

Convenient location to Spoittelberg quarter, quaint property with good bus and tram connections

The location was central to cultural institutions and Christmas Markets - a trolly stops right outside the door and the metro is 3 blocks away, with bank, grocery store, restaurants and shops within blocks. The breakfast is a highlight- included with the room charge and excellent. Accommodations were made for my gluten free status. What a tremendous staff! So helpful and informative. We had a lovely stay.
