We were very impressed with the hotel and it's layout with each pool leading to the next down the slope to the plaza and buffet restaurant. It is well laid out and the 3 bars all had very helpful staff. We had all-inclusive full board and were surprised at the variety of food and which drinks were included in the package.

The resort was a wonderful experience. All staff were friendly, approachable, helpful & would go extra mile. Resort grounds were immaculate and well taken care of. Hotel is very clean and supply requests taken care of quickly.

A beautiful resort where all the staff are friendly, helpful and make your stay wonderful. The food variety, taste and freshness is amazing. All the grounds are spotless and the pools glistening. A quieter resort which was nicer for us than other holidays, so the music isn’t overwhelming but offers enough entertainment to keep the little kids and aquafit goers happy! We would go again and it’s only 15 mins from the biggest waterpark in the world Siam Park. Couldn’t fault it. Thanks Barceló Tenerife.

Hotel facilities are great, the bedroom is huge, with a nice bed, the shower is fantastic and the bath also good. However, it's the type of resort for people that want to go on holiday and never leave the hotel, the location is far from most stuff you can do in South Tenerife, the beach in front of the hotel is a rock beach that didn't appear safe for swimming, the hotel has just swimming pools that all look the same. Also the hotel is located in an area with a lot of wind so it can feel a bit cold and just one of the pools is heated. The only bad thing is that they ask you to use the app for everything and the app is really bad, multiple times it crashed or stuck in loading, this is definitely something to improve. Also "all-inclusive" uses a strange definition on "all", it doesn't include a lot of things. It's basically a drinks package.

A pleasant place, with friendly staff and good-quality food, that is let down by the truly desperate physical condition of some of the rooms. The grouting in the bathroom of the room we were initially given was black and ugly, and there were cracks where the sealant was coming away from the bath. We rejected it as unacceptable and were shown two further rooms that were far from pristine but not nearly as bad. How this place can be rated as five stars beats me. There are signs of underinvestment in maintenance all around the place, with crumbling and cracked paving etc. The state of the bathroom in the room we were allocated would disgrace a one-star hotel in most countries I’ve visited. Does the Tenerife tourism board not care about its reputation as a luxury destination? When was the last time it inspected Barcelo? There are plenty of facilities (seven swimming pools for example) and activities, with a stage and nightly discos and shows, if you like that kind of Butlins-type atmosphere. We enjoyed our stay but I wouldn’t go back - this looks to me like a place that has been on a path of slow decline for some time. In the end, the (mostly) good service can’t make up for the lack of spending to keep the property in a condition that justifies its star rating.

Everything was perfect.

We had a fantastic stay at the Barcelo hotel in Tenerife and would happily return. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel genuinely welcome. A special mention has to go to the entertainment team, who brought so much energy and fun to each day, and the bar staff, who were always friendly, attentive, and quick with a smile. There was always something going on for those who wanted to get involved, from activities during the day to lively evening entertainment, but it never felt overwhelming if you preferred to relax instead. The balance was just right. The buffet food had a great variety of dishes to choose from each day. Everything was fresh, well-prepared, and catered to a range of tastes, so there was always something to look forward to at mealtimes. We were there out of season so can’t comment on the kids club etc as there weren’t many children. Rooms were a great size and clean, as was the rest of the hotel. Overall, it was a great holiday experience with a warm, welcoming atmosphere, great food, and a team of staff who clearly care about making your stay special. Definitely recommended.

We’ve just returned from a fantastic week at the lovely Barceló Tenerife, and it truly exceeded our expectations. Upon arrival, we upgraded to Royal Level, which was absolutely worth it — the food was some of the best we’ve ever experienced on an all-inclusive holiday (most of my photos ended up being of the food!). The hotel itself was spotless throughout, with a great selection of high-quality drinks. Its location is also ideal — within walking distance to local bars and shops, and only around a 10-minute drive from the airport, making transfers quick and easy. What really made our stay special was the staff. Every member of the team was incredibly friendly, helpful, and attentive — a real credit to the hotel. There’s also a wide range of activities available for all ages, making it a great choice whether you’re travelling as a couple, with friends, or as a family. I really enjoyed the candle making

There were a collection of things that made our stay less than disappointing. Number 1: There was an extremely drunk guest who harassed our group several nights in a row, even threatening to throw a table at us. Miguel, the hotel manager, told us after we complained that there was nothing he could do until the guest physically assaulted us and is witnessed by a member of staff. Very odd and we felt totally unsafe walking around incase we came across this aggressive guest. Other reasons include: the hotel claims 7 swimming pools, but 4 are maybe 2 inches deep, and only 1 pool is heated so the other 6 are unusable. Staff were extremely rude and unhelpful. Everything seems to be an inconvenience to them. Drinks are slammed in front of you, you’ll have to wait 20mins to be served. Overall cleanliness of the hotel was ok, nothing spectacular. There were few occasions however we were given dirty cutlery and cups with lipstick on. Room amenities were not great. In 2 of the 3 rooms we had booked, the baths were broken, one of which would only work while the shower was running. Vegetarian options are seriously lacking at the breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets. Night time entertainment is decent, however extremely cold in the off season with no indoor alternative options. The “Spa” was also no spa at all. Our group paid €105 for a private jacuzzi, which turned out to be just a bath tub. It should have been clearly labelled on the booking as a jacuzzi bath.
