Really nice hotel with very friendly staff.

The staff should give lessons to other hotels on hospitality. This hotel is an example of how guests like and want to be treated. Hospitality starts here. I plan to write to the manager to praise specific staff.

The staff goes out of there way to personalize your stay. Amazing people all working together to make your stay wonderful.

We arrived as per usual bad travel rules and parked where we thought we were instructed to park-the staff was so helpful! The son of the owner literally jumped in our car and personally escorted my husband to the right parking area. While he was gone the owner reassured me, showed me in a map where everything was and another young man helped me with our bags to our room (and yippee they had an elevator). The room was awesome, the location ideal-a perfect way to end our trip to Italy!

My daughter and I just walked in the door from a 2 week European vacation and it's unanimous that this was our favorite stay our entire trip. The hotel has a lovely old world Italian charm and the room was surprisingly roomy given the other hotels we visited. What really made it special was the staff. The breakfast was the nicest we encountered during our trip with the best pistachio croissants that we tried to replicate throughout our trip but were unsuccessful. The family-run hotel even made some special moments on Easter with the guests that really made it feel like you were staying with family. Loved Lucca and would 10000% come back to Hotel Alexander on our next stay!!!

From the moment we walked in, I knew we were in the right place. The gentleman greeted us in a welcoming professional way that was classy and just the right amount of engaging. The room was great as well as the breakfast. I highly recommend this hotel and would absolutely stay here again.

Staff was great, all spoke English always trying to make our stay memorable. Decor is old Italian but very functional. Mario was great, ran out to bring our luggage upon our arrival, took up to our room and explained how everything worked. Would not hesitate to stay there again

Such a charming experience ! Be patient about the car & parking because it’s worth it ! Endless dining & shopping just steps away from this little gem. Our first visit to Italy & so happy that this was our choice for the first night !

What a great little hotel with wonderful staff. If your looking at a traditional hotel in the heart of the old town then don’t look any further. The staff can’t do enough for you and the hotel is great for a short stay in Lucca. We plan on a return and would defo stay here again.
