Just lovely

One thing to be aware of is that they charge hotel guests for the beach chairs which were 20€ each per day. The ‘gym’ is also outdoors, no air con and the equipment is in bad need of repair. There was one working treadmill, there was a set of 5kg dumbbells and I think a 1-3kg but really poor gym. Staff are super nice, rooms very clean, and the beach is beautiful. You do need a car to get around! And beware, very little on street free parking as the locals park at 7am for the beach! To park in the hotel underground carpark they charge hotel guests 15€ a day (I think this is what we paid) during July.

A little rundown, but fantastic location and fantastic stuff !

Wir waren in der Juniorsuite mit eigener Terrasse im malerischen Strandgebäude untergebracht. Eine Liege mit Sonnenschirm im gepflegten Garten und am Strand sind inklusive. Alles ist sehr gepflegt, das Bad ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber sehr sauber. Das Personal ist äußerst zuvorkommend. Transfer zum Flughafen kostet 40€. Das Frühstück ist umfangreich, qualitativ gehoben, heiße Getränke leider nur aus dem Automaten. Der Capucchino ist insofern nicht vergleichbar mit dem italienischen Standard aus der Siebträgermaschine. Der Strand ist gepflegt und natürlich; es gibt mehrere fussläufig erreichbare weitere Strände.

Nice resort but our party of 4 were not treated very well when we arrived at the hotel restaurant without a reservation. Put in the corner of another room and ignored for most of the evening. Food was expensive and not very good. Would recommend walking down the street to eat elsewhere. Good walkable location for accessing the beach though.

Hôtel sans enfants, très bon petit déjeuner dans une belle salle vitrée sur jardin et plage, petite partie plage privée avec transat.Le spa est petit mais agréable avec très bon massage. Bémol jacuzzi trop froid

Great beachy vibes with extremely friendly staff.

Hotel fica longe de tudo. De Resort não tem nada. Belo golpe do Hotels.com. Propaganda enganosa. O hotel tem uma prainha muito acanhada e ruim, quase nada de areia, pequena com pouca areia, mas, o pior é que cobram 80 euros/por dia/por cadeira e guarda-sol do hóspede para usar a praia. Ou seja, inaceitável, chega a ser piada. Funcionário da recepção na nossa chegada durante à noite não sabia nada, quis cobrar estacionamento e ainda disse que não tínhamos direito a café da manhã que precisou ser corrigido e acertado com a recepção no dia seguinte. De resort só tem o nome, não se tem nada de mais. Não vale o preço pago. Quarto está longe de se poder chamar de resort. Bem fraco e caro.

There is nothing around the hotel. There are no amenities. There are no stores around. There are only a few simple pizzerias. The area the hotel is located in is rather dull. The beachfront is the only good thing about the hotel.

Das Hotel besticht mit seiner guten Lage, Strand in unter 2 Minuten Fußdistanz zu erreichen, Stadt in unter 15 Minuten. Auch das in zwei geteilte Grundstück macht im ersten Augenblick positive Eindrücke, da dies aus der eher verlassen wirkenden Umgebung deutlich heraus sticht. Leider werden die von vorfreude geprägten momente schnell gedämpft durch die versteckten kosten und tendenziell unfreundliches Personal. Jegliche Annehmlichkeiten wie das erste Frühstück, ein banaler Platz zum Essen auf der Terrasse oder die Sonnenliege am vermeindlichen Privatstrand sind mit vergleichbar hohen Kosten gespickt über welche der Verbraucher im ersten moment nicht informiert wurde. Der groß geworbene Privatstrand gilt ausschließlich für ganze 7 Zimmer und ist somit nicht für die übrigen Gäste nutzbar - und wenn doch, wird unfreundlich gedrängt den Ort zu verlassen. „Adult only“ auch vielmehr „Nur in elterlicher Begleitung“ und das gepriesene Frühstücksbuffet ist mehr eine Ansammlung schlecht zubereiteter Klassiker sowie einer stark Spülungsbedürftiger Kaffeemaschine welche so gar nicht dem italienischen Kaffee standard entspricht. Wer der Anlage aus dem Weg gehen möchte und seine Verpflegung in den umliegenden tollen Lokalen ersucht, dem empfiehlt es sich dennoch oropax und viel nachbarschaftsliebe im gepäck zu haben. Gegen das Heimweh helfen die Hausdamen drei Zimmer weiter mit Staubsaugergepolter wie bei Mama damals zu Hause.

From the moment we arrived, which was late, Selma at reception suggested go to the hotel restaurant eat relax & do check in after. She continued throughout our 8 nights to book restaurants taxis & more. The confusion of the sunbeds is, if you are staying in a suite you have the use of sunbeds & umbrellas in the garden & the beach. If you are in the regular rooms there is a daily charge. Simone was extremely professional & helped us with choice of local wine & couldn’t do enough to make our stay fabulous. The team at reception friendly helpful & happy. The beach man was curteous. Well done Pelican Beach Hotel.

Absolut nicht zu empfehlen

I paid for a “beachfront” room and got a room on the second floor with barely no view of the beach. Davide insisted that it was beachfront. The rooms you pay for are subject to interpretation by the staff. Hotel needs a lot of updating. However, the beach is beautiful!

Everything from start to finish was beautiful, we loved the beach, great service to order drinks and food to your chairs. I would definitely return!

Having the beach access was a plus. However, having to pay to use the beach chairs is inconvenient. The food was well prepared.
