C'est un hôtel à l'ancienne. Style années 60..70. Un de ces hôtels de bord de route. Mais confortable et calme Il y a un restaurant tout à fait correct. Nous aimons bien connaître plein de types d'hébergement. Seule la douche est légère, manque de pression.

La chambre est correcte un peu vieillotte mais c'est le charme de l'établissement. Le déjeuner est gargantuesque avec les spécialités locales. Le restaurant de l'hôtel est très bon nous y avons mangé deux soirs et c'était un régal ! Il manquerait de pouvoir se brancher sur Netflix à la tv.

Clean room , great staff

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfast. Room was a very high standard. O problem parking the car in the convenient car park.

Dinner was good, breakfast was very good. Bathroom very spacious with excellent shower. Unfortunately there were no shelves for any toiletries. Staff were very attentive and friendly. My only criticism is that we paid for a superior room, but it didn’t feel or look superior. It was on the ground floor with two windows facing Main Street, so the blinds were closed to avoid people looking in. For a standard room that would have been ok, but not for a superior room. It was also very small: there was a gap of 4inches between bedpost and chair to get to the other side of the bed. A 10.5 tog duvet and unable to open any windows also meant that we were too hot to sleep… Due to the location of the hotel and an excellent breakfast we will be coming back..

Basic hotel, nothing special. Okay for an overnight stay. Had a bad smell in the room, possibly coming from bathroom. Wifi didn't connect either. I'm guessing not in range.

Excellent hotel on NC500 route. Easily parked to rear of property. Helpful staff with big clean rooms and competitively priced dinner menu in restaurant. Breakfast was perfect to set us up for the days onward travel. We stayed in room 18 which was right next to the road on the ground floor. Was honestly a little noisy with traffic initially but settled in evening and we slept ok. Suggestions: King sized beds would be a good improvement as room is big enough. We were awoken by a group loudly chatting while waiting for a coach pickup outside our window at 7am, so would suggest hotel put a sign on window just asking anyone waiting to be mindful of customers sleeping.

Room and bathroom were small but clean. Staff was very, very helpful and kind. Beds were very comfortable. Hotel is old, but has character. The breakfast was very good and generous.

Second time staying here in the last 7 months and I think this place is top notch. From the extremely helpful and friendly staff, to the incredible breakfasts included with our room and the excellent dinners we purchased in the evenings, to the superb communication by hotel staff, and the clean and comfortable rooms…I will certainly be back in the future. I’d love to see whoever is running this business teach these principles of professionalism and attention to detail to larger chains because they just get it! Eric Slivoskey

Room was small, but clean and comfortable. Parking was tight, but adequate. We had an excellent dinner in their restaurant, and breakfast was a buffet, so you can eat what you want.

Good location for the Pentland ferry from Gill’s Bay, about 20 mins. Lovely food, our room on the ground floor was great, small but adequate.Parking also adequate.

Friendly staff, good breakfast - good value for money stay. Bar reasonably priced

Parking at the back was full, but there is a municipal free parking just accross the road. The breakfast was magnificent. Room was comfortable. Mattress and Duvet are of great quality. Recommended.

The room was very clean. Was a nice touch having biscuits on the tea tray. The staff were excellent. Special shout out to Michelle who made sure our stay was special. The breakfast was fantastic. Fresh fruit available. The hot stuff was good to perfection. We did have evening meals aswell which were also excellent and a great choice and really good value. Parking was available and if the car park was full, there is availability on the street

Me and wife had a 1 night stay hotel was very nice our room was nice and clean staff where excellent and made you feel welcomed food was excellent average priced and nice portions the price we payed for 1 night included a excellent breakfast was brilliant

great little hotel nice rooms, good breakfast, friendly staff, not much in the immediate area, but enjoyable stay comfortable beds etc would go back again
