Room very clean and staff very helpful. Easy to park in front of hotel and breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Very close to pier and town ….. we enjoyed our stay.

Very pleasant hotel and lovely owners and staff. An old building with character features but clean and tidy. The room was large with a huge double bed, TV, tea & coffee making facilities and a small fridge. The bathroom was modern clean and tidy with lots or towels, but beware the seagulls are noisy if you have your window open. The breakfast was good with a large selection of fruit, cereals or cooked. There is parking outside and it is only a short walk to the Clacton Pier and Beach and Preso's Restaurant.

Female solo traveller, stayed 5 nights, had a wonderful time, everything was perfect, felt safe and welcome, such a lovely vibe, so chill and stress free. All the staff and the owners are all professional and easy to talk to. The breakfast was outstanding and comprehensive, delicious and plentiful. The room was like coming home :) clean, comforting and every amenity was provided for. Generous supplies in the room and exquisite bed linen. I booked to return while I was there! Good value for money. The single room was, as expected, small but clean and perfectly adequate with ensuite, TV and good tea/coffee making facilities. Breakfast was excellent, with a varied choice. I was kindly allowed to check in to my room a long while before stated time. Parking is limited to six spaces in front of hotel. Owner very friendly and welcoming.

Carol and her team give amazing service... a good ole fashioned B & B where service and care are second to none. From the extra delights in the room, including biscuits and chocolate with numerous tea and coffee choices, to the towels, with flannel, and a breakfast menu which is extensive and means 'no lunch required'. Carol is an absolute gem too taking interest. Great stay.

The parking was right in front of the hotel and was free, the breakfast was great and fresh, there was stuff in the room to make coffee or tea also cookies and chocolate , nice place to stay within minutes to the beach/pier, very sweet people working there

If you are looking for the best of what a traditional British guesthouse should be, look no further. The room and communal areas are spotless. The towels and linen are fresh and look New. Building is well 19. The refreshments in the room could be no better, and the bed was extremely comfortable. Then we come to breakfast. Perfection. And to top it all exceptionally good value. ospotless

This B&B provides everything you could wish for. Comfortable en-suite rooms and an excellent breakfast. Everything is provided in the rooms despite Expedia stating that in some of the rooms bed linen and towels are not provided. - this is clearly NOT true, as everything we could hope for was there. The owners clearly work hard at providing a very high standard B&B, and succeed. A lovely stay.

My sister and I went to visit Clacton on Sea to relive our childhood. The Chudleigh was lovely, the owners were super friendly, the breakfast was fresh and a lot of options. Our room was number 10, the family room and the beds were so comfortable. The hotel was a 3 minute walk to the pier, with plenty of restaurants nearby. We loved the pier bar and we had chips from Geo's fish bar. Plenty of amusements to go to and we loved the air hockey table. We will be back in the summer so we can enjoy the lovely sandy beach. Everyone we met was very friendly. We had a wonderful time.
