Location location location. This one ticks the boxes. Just inside the bridge onto the island it is right next to the shops, bars and restaurants and next to the ferry pier. Everything is a very short walk. We had a room with a small balcony overlooking the water and ferry pier. Well appointed and comfortable. The hotel is old and classic historic in some ways and a little tired in others. The only negative was the AC in the room did not cope with an early June heat. We set it to 19 but the room never got below 23 making it difficult to sleep at night. You can’t have the windows open as there are loads of flying insects hanging around. I would stay there again and recommend it to anyone.

Ett fantastiskt hotell. Vi bokade med en egen terrass där vi kunde sitta i ostördhet. Solstolar bord och två stolar. Supertrevligt

hôtel très bien situé .vous devez régler votre séjour à l'arrivée ce qui n'est pas un problème en soi sauf qu'ensuite si vous désirez prendre une boisson en terrasse ou consommer quoique ce soit vous devez régler au coup par coup.très désagréable quand vous y séjournez plusieurs jours.Vous avez l'impression d'être un étranger à l'hôtel.Ne mérite pas 4 étoiles

Stedet er idyllisk og vakkert, og det er mange kjempesøte små butikker i de vakre gamle gatene. Hotellet selv er svært sentralt og, med sin lokasjon inni borgen, så slipper man unna turisthordene om kvelden, når man kan vandre rundt i fred. Varmtvannsbadet i hotellet er svært behagelig.

We asked to upgrade when we arrived as it really is on the lake shore. Our balcony overlooks the lake and the ferry terminal is right beside the hotel so easy to move from our last hotel to this one The bar has indoor and outdoor seating overlooking the lake and it’s just a wonderful place to relax

We normally only leave 5 stars as we travel a lot and we're in the business. Sorry, couldn't so it this time. Elevator wasn't working. Be careful if you open your doors at night with the lights on. You will have a million bugs in your room within 10 minutes. They leave a thing hanging on the door explaining this but they do not tell you at check-in. Easily overlooked. Service at the outside restaurant by the lake was non-existent. Definitely wouldn't stay here again and won't recommend to anyone. Sorry, but it wasn't a good experience.

O ar condicionado não funcionava, as atendentes não deram um atendimento cordial, o spa não tinha uma mesa na piscina vaga. Tudo lotado e sem estrutura para os hóspedes. Perguntei sobre o ar condicionado e disseram que não estava funcionando mesmo sem tomarem providências. No café da manhã não eram repostos pratos e talheres.

Great location - right next to the castle. We loved soaking in the thermal pool and using the spa after a long day of travel. Was great to stay in centre and wander around the old town early morning before the rest of the tourists arrived en mass. We felt rejuvenated and relaxed following our stay.

Lovely hotel and a prime location. Staff were friendly and the lowest price room was great! All in all, we had a nice stay but there just need to be a few tweaks to guest comfort to warrant the 4* in my opinion. The spa is a bit misleading, you don’t really need to book a time slot as the booking is only for the use of a relaxer chair. Also, they didn’t provide slippers in the room - we were sent back to the room from the spa ( different building across the public footpath) to get changed into robes. We had to then walk back in robes and our boots so looked a bit silly! The breakfast wasn’t brilliant for 4* - cold cooked food and it wasn’t clear about coffee options as it all appeared to be self service with no coffee - then the waitress came and asked us for our coffee order a while after starting breakfast. Fantastic pastries though, they’d be better sticking to continental really.

Péssima experiência. Serviço muito ruim. Funcionários despreparados e mal humorados. Não houve orientações sobre o estacionamento. Ligávamos para o hotel e ninguém atendia. Tivemos que falar com o hotéis.com para pedir suporte. Hotel antigo, sem manutenção. O único ponto positivo é a localização. A cidade de Sirmione é um encanto. Fiquei triste por termos escolhido mal o hotel. Não recomendo.

Outdated hotel in a beautiful location

This was billed as a 4-star hotel, but it was very aged and beat up. It definitely is due for a makeover. Also, while we were there, they started a complete overhaul of the bathroom next door & the noise was unbearable. Initially, the staff just said "sorry", but ultimately, we were able to get moved to a different room. The breakfast & restaurant was pretty good and we didn't spend a ton of time there, but the place definitely needs a refresh.

Der Parkplatz war außerhalb der Altstadt, und man wurde mit einem Caddy zum Hotel gebracht. Die Empfangshalle hat einen Charm von einer Postfiliale aus den 70er. Man merkt einfach das die glorreichen Zeiten vor 30 -40 Jahren war. Allerdings war die Lage in Sirmione sehr gut. Hatten ein Zimmer mit Balkon und Seeblick. Von dort konnte man das ganze Touristentreiben sehr gut verfolgen. Der Wellnessbereich ist im Gebäude gegenüber, und so läuft man im Bademantel, der vom Hotel zu Verfügung gestellt wird und es nur eine Einheitsgröße gibt, die für kleine Italienern bestimmt ist, an den ganzen Touristen vorbei. Beim betreten des Thermalbad wird man vom Schwefelgeruch "überwältigt". Im freien kann man das Bad genießen und man gewöhnt sich an den Thermalgeruch. Der Pool, mit begrenzter Anzahl an Liegen, die natürlich alle dirch Handtücher reserviert sind, liegt direkt am Hafen, wo zahlreiche Touristen in die Ausflugsboote einsteigen. Abgegrenzt wird die Poolanlage von dem Touristentrubel durch eine spärliche Hecke, durch die immer wieder neugierige Touristen versuchen durch zusehen. Das Zimmer war sauber und mit einem Flachbildfernseher ausgestattet, der die größe meines Multifunktionsbildschirm im Auto hat. Das Frühstück fand in der Hotelhalle statt, die die Atmosphäre und Geräuschkulisse einer Bahnhofshalle hatte. Frühstück bis 10:30, und ab 09:45 gab es nur ungenießbaren, kalten Kaffee. Die Qualität beim Frühstücksbüffet war wünschenswert und nicht eines 4 Sterne Hotel würdig.
