Our door key did not work when we checked in. The staff jumped right on it; changed the battery and that didn't work; called repair guy; he trouble shot the door. He had to replace the lock. We asked for another room. They said the hotel was full. One hour and a half later, we got a key that worked to our room. This is unacceptable! Even if the hotel is full, put us in a room for someone who has not checked in. I went to use the pool while my husband sat in the room. I couldn't get into the pool and the front desk was so busy I had to call and wait on hold for 15 mins to explain that I needed a key for the pool. This made us late for dinner and we lost our reservation. This was not the relaxing evening we had planned. Customer service means that you find us another room while you fix the problem. It was clear from the staff's reaction that this is NOT and unusual problem. This place needs upgrading. The door lock is VERY old. The owner needs to address the maintenance. I will be noting this information in a more public recommendation. Don't stay here until it gets upgraded.
