Enjoyed my brief overnight stay here. The hotel has a nice relaxing ambience and the rooms are comfortable - even in a heatwave! Had dinner and drinks at the Indian restaurant and bar. The staff are a credit to this hotel. Breakfast was excellent as well as the team who served it. Thanks!

We had a lovely stay, the hotel is on wonderful grounds and has real potential to be brilliant, which some easy changes. The rooms need refreshing, There was a curtain hook on the floor, so meaning sharp object left lying there and also leaving huge hole in the wall. The ironing board was super old and needs a new topper, The iron was missing from our room but a staff member did bring one quickly which was great. Walls need the old wallpaper removing and repainting as has stains on, and carpets need cleaning. The French door was unlocked when we checked in, but fortunately we realised else could have been unsafe, it was a struggle to lock but we managed. The room door too was rather shakey and didn’t feel very secure. A few touches you could add are perhaps complementary water in the room, and a tea/coffee facility. Breakfast was good, sausages were nice and poached eggs were cooked very well. But the coffee was cold telling me the canister/flasks used are either not working or the coffee had been there a very long time. though when I advised staff they brought a new one out. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. We were given a late check out of 12pm due to a fire alarm going off in the middle of the night on the first night of our stay. I would stay again regardless, but the changes would increase my rating.

Room on first look appeared nice but after first glance plenty of issues. Bathroom had broken bath panel In 2 large areas, orange shower curtain through over use and no shampoo. Also shower would only offer burning water. Reported to reception where we were eventually given keys for another room to use the bathroom of but couldn’t use room as it had a broken window. The lift was a joke the receptionist actually had to physically push the door shut to make it work …. I’d rather have walked up the stairs…. But then when we used the stairs we saw the cemetery of dead flies all over the window frame. A real shame as the hotel could be lovely with just a bit of work.

Good quiet location with plenty of car parking space. Rooms are clean, slightly dated decor. Good breakfast with buffet option.

Very clean staff superb,stayed extra 4 nights staff brilliant and kept us in same room to save us messing about changing rooms very helpful we have rebooked for next year wish we could go back sooner

Room hadn’t been hoovered, sugar sachet on bathroom floor, dirty mark on shower curtain and chipped bath , no a/c just a tiny fan Door would only close by slamming shut

No real issues with this stay. Just lost water pressure and it was never fixed.

Sadly - welcome was not that good - basic not welcoming. Room was not ready as we discovered - both bathroom gel bottles were empty , two less than half toilet rolls barely lasted the night. When we reported this - no one was available at the desk at 7.30 am - so spoke to someone on phone. We went out for a walk , thinking it would be dealt with, but on return discovered it wasn’t - excuse was that they thought we had gone out for the day - so had to chase in order to shower. Carpet on stairway looked worn and lots of dead flies on window sill - later someone had wiped flies onto the carpet. Left a day early , receptionist didn’t seem bothered whether we were happy or not-reluctantly eventually asked. No apology or acceptance of the inadequacies. Not a good experience - would not go again. Bar/ restaurant staff in tent were good/friendly as were the options for vegetarians - but Shisha smoking not to our liking - as non smokers still not pleasant.

Cozy boutique type hotel but could do with updating and refurbishment. No air conditioning only noisy fans in the rooms.

Breakfast was good, staff at the hotel are lovely and friendly-all go above and beyond. Room was clean and tidy.

No air-conditioning, dead flys in room on floor and window sills in stairway and room. Room tiny and was ridiculously hot. Stains on carpet, pillowcase and towels. The cold water tap did not work on sink or in shower. Honestly one of the worst stays of my life.

Bathroom was tiny - very small shower cubicle - very noisy both nights (Saturday & Sunday) with partying outside until 02:30

I booked this hotel through Expedia because of the good summarized reviews, but it was a disaster. When we arrived, there was no welcome from the staff, and they were incredibly rude. To make things worse, the elevator was not working properly, so we had to carry all our heavy bags up the stairs ourselves. The room was also very dirty. I will never stay here again.

The hotel is looking tired and in need of some interior refurbishment there was paint cracking and peeling from window frames. However it was reasonably priced for a one night business trip. I would not want to stay longer. The restaurant within the grounds of the hotel was excellent food and service was very good.

We paid more and booked an executive room. It was on the third floor with sloped ceilings. Quaint but it meant we had to keep ducking when moving around the room so annoying. There were dirty towels left in the bathroom on the back of the door from previous guests so room not checked properly. Cold tap in the sink was a dribble. This needs sorting. Shower was pathetic. Lift smelt. I wouldn't have been so disappointed if it wasn't for the fact that I had paid more for this room. Would not book again

Very friendly staff. Although the hotel is dated inside, it's very clean, the bed comfortable and the room is cleaned daily. The food in the hotel bar is good and reasonably priced.

When I woke up in the morning , I noticed the bed sheets were covered in brown stains , the place seemed a bit run down and decor was jaded, I won’t be rushing back there

Nice sized room and was clean. It was a very hot day end of May 26 so the room was very hot. They had winter quilts fitted so we asked for a lighter 1 was told there aren’t any. Spoke to head housekeeper in the morning to be told we should have been given an alternative so have to assume as it was after 11 the receptionist couldn’t be bothered to help. Check in and it was very straight forward .
