The lodge is better for family groups. Extra drive hard to get I. And out due to high volume traffic circle. Room was small and awkward. Stuffy and no internet due to stone construction even though they advertised internet connection,

Beautiful lodge with excellent hiking

The staff was extremely polite, professional and dedicated no matter when I'd come to the front desk. Beautiful surroundings. The lodge is not that far even when walking to it, so save yourself the complaining. You're there to walk anyway lol. Will be back for sure.

Quiet cabin/room and lovely grounds around the lake; easy hiking in the area.

Sink in room had several big cracks in it. A place to purchase drinks and snacks in the Overlook Lodge would be nice.

Tranquil surroundings

The property was clean and in a beautiful area. I think the hotel should do more to preserve the Lodge building and improve dining options.

Stayed at the Overlook Lodge in Bear Mountain and it was a really nice experience. The lodge has a cozy, rustic feel with beautiful views of the lake and surrounding mountains. The rooms are simple but comfortable, and it’s very peaceful compared to the busier parts of Bear Mountain. It feels like a getaway spot where you can actually relax.

The Overlook Lodge is a wonderful property nestled in the woods and yet close to the Inn for dining. Our room was spacious and the beds were very comfortable.

Lodging was nice but there tons of trash around the lake

Everything was wonderful except the restaurant service. We ordered drinks and a salad. The drinks took a long time to arrive and the salad never did. We finally just asked for the bill. We were there for an hour and a half.

The Bear Mountain Inn building is impressive but I do d the meal opportunities underwhelming.

Overall our 2 nights stay at the hotel was good! It’s clean and comfortable. The lake was nice. The bear mt inn has multiple buildings around the lake. We got a room on 2Fl at the overlook lodge which was a bit far from the main building with no elevator. We didn’t bring a car so we had to walk back and forth multiple times a day. It takes 20min at least to walk and the restaurant and cafe at the main building closes at 3pm, 7pm Mon-Tues. Don’t forget to bring cash for the pool($5/person) and renting a boat($50+).

I was very disappointed with the bathroom facilities. It was extremely small and uncomfortable. Couldnt even open the door to the bathroom. Very uncomfortable and tight. Ive never seen such a small bathroom.

Nice rooms with sufficient amenities except the wi fi was terrible! It was weak and erratic. Finally had to give up. Maybe the main lodge has great wi fi, but the separate cottages up the hill do not.
