Wonderful experience all round

What a marvelous property! This motel has the cutest mid-century modern decor throughout, the nicest and most generous hosts, and very comfortable rooms. A great choice for how convenient and walkable it is to the beach and downtown Port Douglas area. We would have gladly stayed there for several nights but worked extremely well for our one night stay.

We liked the cleaniness & quirky deco It had everything we needed with lovely hosts. The kitchen and seating area around the pool was a lovely bonus & we loved the proximity to the beach and to all the restaurants! We also made good use of the local shuttles to go further afield with not having a car

Bright and colorful large rooms, super clean, quiet yet adjacent and walkable to everything - from restaurants to beach and marina. Large refrigerator and microwave in room. Owner was welcoming and super responsive. Loved the retro decor. The poolside barbecue and the accessible laundry machines were a big plus.

Great location . I only had one night and check in parking excellent value for the night.

This is one of the best motels in which I have ever stayed. The outside was bright, colourful and inviting. Inside, the room was immaculate, well furnished and decorated. The bed and furniture were designed for comfort. Staff were most courteous. Very highly recommended by me.

My hotel room was a dump. Thin walls. I could hear the occupants next door turning their microwave on and off. I could hear their alarm clock going off (and it took them a long time to shut off the alarm). My room was next to the tanks which serviced the pool. So everything in my room smelled like chlorine. It was the stench of disinfectant in a seedy motel room. The pool was filthy (not that I wanted to go swimming). Sand and dirt strewn about the bottom. My room had a flimsy hollow core door, which if one was determined, you could easily kick the door in. A flimsy lock on the door. It was one of those places that the police use when they’re setting up a sting. In the movies, they huddle around a grainy monitor, listening over a busted speaker, waiting on the informant to say the code word before they spring into action and come rushing in through the adjoining door with guns drawn. It was only for one night, so I toughed it out, but it was a restless night and I must have woke up half a dozen times. I’ve travelled quite a bit, all over the world and your facility has to be the 3rd worst motel, I’ve ever spent the night in. Now I know, “Where NOT to stay” in Port Douglas. Next time I’ll stay elsewhere. The next morning after I checked out and didn’t look back. I'd like a refund. You could not pay me to stay in this motel again.
