Honest review!
So, my client actually booked this for a court case in which I was representing. She had emailed saying I needed a ground floor room. I arrived in the evening to be told they had no ground floor rooms and there was a flight of stairs. As a wheelchair user this. left me in a very difficult position, I can mobilise a little but with great effort and great pain.
I had little choice but to stay.
The receptionist told me that they'd looked for a phone number to let me know but couldn't find one. They'd managed to send 2 welcome emails which I appreciate are pre generated but the point being they had my email address, had seen my request and had failed to let me know leaving me in a difficult position.
Having to leave my chair downstairs I asked if they could charge it up and was advised the night porter would drive it to a plug point and charge it for me.
At 4am I woke up and went down to check on my chair, I was surprised to see it still where I'd left it and asked the night porter if he had charged it, he said he had and had put it back. I was sceptical but decided to take his word for it....I shouldn't have done because en route to my destination the battery went. A full charge lasts me around 10 miles so less than a mile it stopping meaning it had not been charged.
The room was comfortable enough, the breakfast great, staff generally okay but communication sucks and really led to me being pretty unwell right now as my body can take weeks to recover
