Friendly staff and cute place to stay.

Beautiful old inn in lovely surroundings. Peaceful sleep in a four poster bed and an excellent breakfast

Super charmernede kro i de smukkeste omgivelser. Meget charmerende lille landsby. Personalet var utrolig søde og i mødekommede, eneste minus var, at vi ikke kunne åbne vinduerne på værelset, så det blev meget varmt at sove og deraf virkelig dårlig søvn - ellers et rigtig charmernede værelse og og badeværelse. Maden var (som det meste engelske mad)ikke noget at skrive hjem om og forholdsmæssigt dyr

Wonderful stay!

A fabulous stay in a magnificent old period building. The location was picture perfect and superb views from the garden at the rear, lovely spot to have a drink in the sunshine. The food was first rate and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. Only 15 minutes from the 'park and ride' into Bath. We'll definitely be back.

Staff were amazing and we were very well looked after. Food was delicious - overall had a lovely stay and catch up with friends. Would thoroughly recommend staying and hope to come back again soon.

Par excellence

ABSOLUTELY LOVED our trip to this BEAUTIFUL little medieval village and TOP NOTCH HOTEL. Full of history, loved slow pace of the town, relaxed. Everything about the hotel was well-preserved and restored (retaining history).

I brought my friend here who was visiting from Australia and you didnt disappoint! Fabulous! Everything was absolutely perfect. Such a nice touch having the radio in the room too. Delicious dinner and breakfast.

Comfortable rooms

Vi är väldigt nöjda med boendet. Väldigt mysigt och fantastiskt trevlig personal. Väldigt vacker utsikt från puben över ängar och den gamla kyrkan.

Fantastic pub perfect for a romantic night away. Run by a fantastic team we had such a warm welcome which is an LGBTQ couple is always a lovely. Food was great, room was beautiful and of course the building really is something special.

Truly unique place and an easy run into Bath. Very comfortable rooms, and a great restaurant. Staff were wonderful- very friendly and helpful. Will definitely return!

Lighting in room could be brighter for reading

The Hotel accommodation was very comfortable and clean. The room I was given, the Coach room, was comfortable and clean with a comfy bed, but it was a bit cluttered with flower pots and artificial plants, along with the tea making facilities, kettle and coffee machine, and papers giving information about the hotel. This left only a little bit of space on the dressing table for me to put my things. It was dark in there, s I could only see to read if I went near the lights that were on the walls in the corners of the room. This room could have been noisy as there is no sound proofing at all, but I was provided with ear plugs which worked well. Christmas lunch could have been better if they had stuck to the menu. ie instead of Brandy Cream, that was on the menu, we were given watery custard, and there were no chestnuts on the plate with the cranberry sauce. The cranberry sauce was delivered only at my request in a separate pot, and was such a tiny bit. The waiter said they were running out of it. It was cold at the table we sat at as the door was open to the outside right by our table. I will come again however. Checking in was efficient and friendly, breakfast was very good and checking out was easy. All the staff were efficient, hard working and friendly.
