Warm welcome form ryokan khoro Not too far from Kamasura station and Kawaramachi station Near to Nishiki marget

At the behest of a friend, I checked our family into a ryokan (traditional inn) for our maiden trip to Kyoto. The Japanese hospitality of the staff, traditional breakfast every morning (server to your room), your beds made daily and sleeping on the mattresses on tatami flooring and public bath are good experience.

Love the spread of in room breakfast , it was delicious and beautifully presented Bed not as comfortable, but we were the one who opted for traditional Japanese style bed Got a room w private bath , but it’s really small Have to praise all the hotel Ryokan staffs for being efficient and accommodative on our request , and in mourning for breakfast , they are extremely prompt Location was great, walkable to close by attractions

Great ryokan.

Staff were great, lots of shopping and eating nearby. Facilities are a little old, but clean and very comfortable.

We loved the Ryokan Kohro! From the moment we arrived the staff was warm and welcoming, our room very comfortable, and the set Japanese breakfast each morning was delicious…the best part was the cedar bath/onsen which we used each night. We will definitely be back!

Amazing ryokan stay in the heart of Kyoto; there’s a public bath you can try which is traditional and fun way to shower / bathe. When you check in they pour you tea and give you traditional sweet; they then go through breakfast times; breakfast in the room is amazing and must try. The set up of the beds was also done seamlessly and everyone was super courteous and polite - thank you for a great stay!

A bit out of the way. Property was a bit run down. Staff was super nice though.

Good location, Clean room. Nishiki market and Kyoto culture museum is very near. Inoda coffee is more than that.
