Cheap and cheerful, staff friendly, needs an update and looks like refurbishment on going, which it needs. Food simple but adequate.

The rooms are basic but comfortable, Breakfast could have been better, staff were lovely, nd WiFi and on-site parking are included.

It’s not really comfortable specially now it’s summer no aircon in the room uncomfortable to have a proper rest and sleep no fridge, to cool your drinks sorry I should book in 5 star I don’t realise it’s only 3 star the hotel

Booked a superior room. Smelt of damp and mould Staff we're great. Bed was clean, but other than that, needs somr attention

Staff were amazing, room was great and overall stay was good. Only downfall i had was the room was way to hot. The little fan provided was just blowing hot air around. Air conditioning would be a good investment especially during summer. I would have booked another night but the room temperature has put me off booking again.

Staff were very kind efficient and helpful. You can't fault them. Some furnishings had seen better days but in all can't complain

Friendly staff and nice front of house. Bedrooms need some tlc due to odour and plumbing issues.

Easy check-in and good wifi. Room looked a bit tired and the floor could have been cleaner. Taps in bathroom were sticking.

When I entered the room, there was a very unpleasant smell, like a dead rat. I requested several times that the staff change my room, but they refused and said they were unable to do so. As a result, I could not sleep properly that night and had a sleepless, uncomfortable experience. The next morning, I contacted Expedia, and only after Expedia intervened did the hotel agree to change my room. This was extremely disappointing because the hotel ignored the customer’s direct request but responded only when pressure came from Expedia. Overall, it was a very awful experience and one of the worst hotel stays I have ever had. But I am very happy about the Expedia help line.

Great staff and nice rooms

Stayed purely to catch an early train the next morning, but the hotel was fine for that. It's dated but clean, and the staff were great. Bar good enough for a quiet drink. Definitely get what you pay for, overall.

Good free car park with plenty of space. Decent size single room, bed comfortable. Hotel is a bit shabby and needs updating. General lack of maintenance, in my bathroom the toilet roll holder was broken. Breakfast just about OK, cooked food very greasy and looked as if it had been there some time.

Was ideal for my trip

Good location and had a good nights sleep, however their food quality is very poor. I ate 3x breakfasts and 2x evening meals and each meal the quality was poor..your chef/ cook needs to be retrained on quality of taste and freshness of the products… everything tastes as if it’s been cooked previously then microwaved when needed, £12 cheese burger, that tasted like rubber, in a FF bun that was as tough as the burger.. breakfast was £9 precooked and overcooked.Staff try a meal yourselves and hopefully you will understand. Freshness and quality of the food would put me off staying again. Trust me giving the customer a hearty meal at start or at the end of the day will bring you more custom.
