A friendly place. A very quaint village and easy to park across the road. Also, good food.

Lovely room, marvellous host and a terrific breakfast!

Breakfast was excellent.

On arrival early evening the landlord showed me to my room and was very polite and helpful. The room was very clean. There was a musty smell throughout the room and also the stairs outside. May have had the carpets cleaned at some recent point. The en-suite although large was a bit disappointing as the bath had a fitted shower screen and a shower head holder fitted to the wall but no shower. Room slightly noisy until the kitchen extractors were switched off about 9.30pm, although the landlord did inform me of this on arrival. At breakfast I ordered a full English which was probably one of the best I have had. Good quality produce and plenty of it. Value for money stay.

We had a lovely 2 night stay at Sir Alfred Munnings Hotel. A gem of a place with top notch care from the propriator Mark who was on hand to check us in. Breakfasts were wonderful and the dinner meal we had in the pub was tasty and generous in portions.

Great place for peace and quiet...even though its rooms over the pub its not noisy at all..in a very quiet village so mostly locals in there. Everyone very friendly, food was good. You need a car to get here and parking is free just opposite in the car park..

Just the perfect place to stay and sample the beautiful and peaceful Suffolk countryside.

Lovely room and Mark and all his staff work very hard to maintain the excellent service they provide. Breakfasts were wonderful and the meals served on the restaurant were exceptional and very good value for .money. would recommend a stay here for anyone. Will definitely return.

Excellent friendly, helpful staff, who went over and above to ensure my wife and I had a pleasant stay. The room exceeded our expectations, especially for the price paid. It was exceptionally clean and comfortable, and we enjoyed a very quiet and relaxing stay, with a good breakfast in the morning. We would highly recommend this hotel.

This was my third stay at the Sir Alfred Munnings Hotel, and each stay has been perfect. The location is rural enough to be away from the hustle and bustle, whilst close enough to neighbouring towns. The staff were welcoming and accommodating throughout my stay, and I’ll definitely book to stay again in the future.

Excellent stay, Lisa made me feel very welcome, great food and atmosphere, got to watch a few high adrenaline games of Jenga! Big thanks from me! 10/10 recommendation!

We really enjoyed two nights here in a beautiful old village inn! The staff was very friendly and helpful, the food delicious and carefully made to order, and the location peaceful and bucolic - highly recommended to anyone looking for time away from the city!

From when I arrived amd during my five nights stay, Mark and all his staff treated me with the utmost resepect. All were courteous and professional in all that did. As I had to leave each day before breakfast, Mark made me a packed lunch to take with me. This was in keeping with tje food the restaurant served each night. The menu has a wide range of choices and the portions are quite substantial. They are reasonably priced for the size of each dish. The room was clean, quite large and very fresh and airy. I will definitely be staying again when I am in the area. 5 star treatment from a 5 star team. Well done to Mark and all his staff.

The hotel is in a small village, with friendly staff who cooked a great breakfast, I had a good sleep in a clean room. I can easily recommend it to anyone.

The room was very clean and fresh throughout my 5 day stay. Clean bedding daily.

We went to check in note in window to call all locked up, was shown to our room cobwebs on inside of window frame had not been cleaned brown bed linnen alarm bells pulled back could see what looked like stains. We looked at each other no way and we walked out would want a refund of my money
