Rooms are showing their age. Frayed carpeting and dirty vents. There was a ziplock bag over the smoke detector. The floor I was on was party central. People running through the halls until midnight, screaming, drinking, etc. Not sure why I was placed among those people as the hotel was basically empty.

Staff was great and the hotel was kept spotless

I really enjoyed the breakfast I did not give it five stars because of the excessively high charge for the room. There was an international hockey tournament on that weekend. There were few rooms to be had anywhere, and the hotel charged 40% above its usual rate. I would have understood a 25% premium, but 40% was predatory

Room had to be cleaned ,hair in the tub. No clock in the room.

Staff were very helpful, rooms were exceptionally clean and quite, and there was an abundance of choices at the breakfast buffet. Would recommend this hotel for your stay in Sydney.

horrible service

I booked and paid for room on hotel.ca including protection insurance to prevent the price from rising. On check in, they need my MC to have on file, except they not only charged me for the room at a higher cost but did not email me a receipt. I later contacted hotel.ca and they refunded the lower amounted but refused to honour my insurance. I will book through hotels.ca or Hampton Inn in Membertou again

Getting a little dated. Carpet in room was in poor condition. The shower caulking was clearly done in haste and was sloppy and messy. Breakfast typical of Hampton, boring and cafeteria quality.

Clean, quiet and very friendly staff

Took a long time to just check out as there was not many staff.
