The hotel had a very convenient car park and staff were welcoming. Our snug room was modern with rain shower and coffee making facilities and the bar and restaurant were of excellent quality along with the breakfast. Would stay again.

It’s a cute quaint little hotel in Lyndhurst. Good food and breakfast too!

Very poorly maintained rooms. Not as advertised. TV didn’t work, latches broken on windows, peeling paint, damp patches on ceiling. Staff didn’t make an effort to resolve our concerns properly when raised and seemed to think the condition was acceptable.

We have stayed in the Crown several times so were happy to re visit whilst touring the New Forest in ideal location. Helpful, cheerful staff made us welcome . Nothing to much trouble We declined an evening meal in hotel as we were meeting friends in town but breakfast was excellent wide choice available. The down side of our stay is that the hotel really now seemed "tired" appearance. Window frames paint flaking off the decor in our room (203) was "dated' in need of a refurb. Mould in bathroom / shower, mirror corroded etc For a De luxe room maybe guest bathrobes would be a welcome addition All in all we enjoyed our stay & would probably visit again and submit this review as our personal observations only In a competitive hotel industry attention to detail for the future is paramount

I gifted my son and his girlfriend, a weekend away! Everything was perfect and 10/10. Hotel is clean and rooms are spacious. Definitely worth the visit.

The staff were attentive but not over the top, pleasant day rooms and outside areas, bed was comfortable but the shower wasn’t the best. Food in the restaurant was very good. Breakfast was a buffet style and therefore wasn’t as good as made to order.

Fabulous stay at the Crown and the dinner in the restaurant was great. Staff very helpful and great bedroom with a very comfy bed !! My only disappointment was the breakfast choice which was pretty poor. If you are vegetarian there is limited choice with no option to order anything else off a menu. Limited fruit, cheeses and no salad available. Very disappointed and didn’t eat here on our last morning. I would visit again as everything else was great !

Before we got there, I knew the hotel by repute since nineteen seventy, in fact. First of all, the receptionist was helpful knowledgeable and expecting us. There is nothing nicer than being greeted by name. We did not pay for a large room but the bed did not dominate. There were two comfortable chairs, and the desk doubled as a dressing table with mirror. The wooden wardrobe had that good wood smell. When I checked the top for dust before putting spare pillows up there out of the way I found that even the top of the wardrobe had been dusted! The courtesy tray had high quality products. The double bed was comfortable, and we both slept well. The bathroom had a full-on bath with both shower head and douche. The soap, shampoo, and conditioner were top quality. There was neither one spec of dust nor even a hint of mould around the bath. We were delighted. We used the library to meet friends and enjoy a drink one evening. What are comfortable and lovely setting. Breakfast in the main breakfast room was a high quality buffet, full english, alongside a fair range of uncooked choices. All staff turned out to be attentive, well spoken, and courteous. The public halls and stairs, which we used, we're comfortable very well decorated with a range of interesting pictures and objects. Depending on how you view price, I found a place to be exceptionally good value. Others pay more, but this place steps up to be worthy of your custom and hard earned money.

Typisch englisches Hotel mit seinem old english style. Teppichböden etc muss man halt mögen und es ist eher ringhörig. Ich würde bei der Reservation Zimmer weg von der Strasse buchen. Der Verkehr während der Woche beginnt schon ab 6.30h. Das Zimmer war ok, das Bett bequem, das Bad auch ok. Personal freundlich. Restaurants und Shops zu Fuss erreichbar

Staff were friendly and nice, but overall experience of the room was average. Shower didn’t drain properly and room was hot and stuffy. Toilet also had drainage issues.

Good location. Friendly staff. Great breakfast. Good room but needs some TLC in bathroom. Free parking a bonus. Ideal spot to explore the New Forest. Would definitely return

The hotel is well located within Lyndhurst and for the New Forest. Staff are polite and friendly, there is large car park for the hotel. Good Breakfast, from continental to full English. Our room was clean and well maintained, with a comfortable bed.
