I would have given this place a much higher rating but they put us in a room directly above the bar and the walls are not well insulated. So the noise from the people in the bar was so loud that we could hear everything they said. This went on until the bar closed at midnight. Then it was quiet. If you stay here make sure you get a room away from the bar. It was terrible.

Great staff and a warm welcome. Couldn't fault the food at dinner and breakfast. Service was excellent. Room especially the bathroom showing its age however, were very clean and in general exceptional value. Thank you for a great stay

An amazing stay. Staff friendly and welcoming. Delicious freshly cooked food in the restaurant and breakfast. The room was very clean, serviced daily and tea and coffee replenished. Quiet location ideally placed for access to Alnwick and Morpeth.

We had a wonderful stay. The staff at the Granby were incredibly friendly and helpful. We had breakfast and dinner there and the food was excellent. The room was lovely. A thoroughly enjoyable stay.

It was really excellent. The food and attention given to us by the staff, was first class. Nothing was too much and we felt really at home. The room was very comfortable and the shower was very warm and pleasant. Good parking. We will return again. We have enjoyed all of our previous visits.

Friendly and helpful staff but it took a full 10 minutes of running the tap to get some warm water out of the basin tap.

Very friendly place with fantastic food and traditional bar area, rooms are a little old fashioned but very comfortable, I would definitely stay again. There's also a carpark to the side so no issues with parking.
