Good. I was a bit worried after reading the reviews however, it was cheap, cheerful, can’t really complain. Bed was a bit uncomfortable but for the price we paid, it’s hardly worth mentioning. Towels weren’t changed which is fine, but one was taken and not replaced which was a bit awkward. Staff were very helpful and pleasant, can’t fault them. We did require assistance at around 10pm one night and no one was on the desk, however, they may have been at the bar, I just didn’t try there, as it was not important enough for me to go searching for someone. Overall, if you want something cheap, near to the train station, St John’s hospital, and the shopping centre, it’s a bargain. One other thing, they don’t have Uber there because it was killing local taxi companies business, but they do have very cheap and efficient private taxis for around the same price point, the staff were very helpful and provided a few numbers. I would recommended if you’re looking for something affordable and somewhere to rest your head. It’s no frills, but worth the money.

Room was TINY. Bathroom was good. Nice hot shower (once we learned how to operate it). Beds were ok. A bit hard and worn. Restaurants was good. Wait staff was excellent. No heat in the room that we could find but the hallway was very warm. We propped open our door and the room warmed up. Lighting on the outside of the building is poor. Luckily I had a small flashlight. Lots of walls etc Painted black so hard to see at night. Not far is a grocery store and Greggs (donuts and hand sandwiches). This hotel is a long ride to Edinburgh by taxi.

Staff were excellent, Livingston is a modern town with fantastic shopping facilities. Noisy doors were a negative and it the hotel was a bit rowdy on Friday evening

L'hôtel est correct : l'accueil a été un petit peu long car nous sommes arrivés apres minuit. La porte de la réception était fermée et le gardien a eu du mal à entendre la sonnette mais il a été très agréable et serviable. La litterie est confortable. La propreté est à revoir : traces de dentifrice sur le miroir de la chambre, bac à douche presque bouché par des cheveux, traces de moisissures sur les joints. Les murs sont très fins donc on entend tous autres clients. L'option petit dejeuner sera un plus.

Early check in went well and we were shown to our room which had everything we needed and was lovely and clean. The bed was very comfortable and I slept really well. Only criticism I have is the first impression on entering the bedroom block......was how dirty the carpet on the floor and stairs is which made me wonder if I should have booked the property. But entering the bedroom changed that idea and all was well.
