This hotel is focused on senior citizens; you will love it if you are 65 years old or older. The property is nice, but it would benefit from new management. The staff needs customer service training, and the entertainment is nothing like other Riu hotels. Don’t even bother going to the restaurants—you will be disappointed. Stick with the buffet."

Although hotel staff did not speak English, they were very nice and tried their best to help. Great place for family and children. Main dining room food was not so great. The resort is approximately 2 hours from airport and 2 hours away from major events. Transportation to major attractions is very costly, approximately $125 per person.

Viajé con amigos, el hotel me pareció excelente, la comida estaba deliciosa, la habitación y baño eran amplios, la preparación de los cócteles estaba muy bien. Algo que me gustó mucho fue la playa, es bastante amplia y con suficientes camastros. Definitivamente volvería a Riu Playa Blanca. Me encantó!

Great hotel, staff super friendly but the front desk can't help with riu class concerns so that was not a good experience. Hotel is great, but location is not the best for international tourists. Panama city Airport is about 2.5 to 3 hours away depending on the traffic. Hotel doesn't provide shuttle when you book through Expedia, so expect to pay $75-80 per adult.

AC was well maintained

Asegúrense de saber que tan lejos está la habitación de los lugares a donde ir, nos tocó una habitación a 5 minutos caminando desde el ascensor si hubiera estado sola creo que no me hubiera importado peor tenía un bebé y cuidarlo requiere atención rápida, regresar a la habitación era un problema muy grande, pedí ayuda y pague una mejor habitación pero no me ayudaron y quisieron obligarme a firmar una aceptación de no reembolso cuando ya estuve más de la mitad de estadía ahí, muchas otras cosas estuvieron muy bien y bueno otras que no importaron tanto pero mi experiencia no fue buena y pasar pidiendo ayuda durante toda la estancia no permitió disfrutar las vacaciones, les recomiendo el hotel bijao que me han dicho que es mejor en el lugar.

Todo bien solo que tuve un incidente con mi moto y la seguridad del hotel y simplemente no se hicieron responsables de nada

We reserved the 2 bedroom suite looking over the pool area and a great view of the ocean. Everything was amazing. The shows at night were very professional. The daily activities kept us busy. We enjoyed ourselves.

It was clean, and the meals were delicious. The entertainment was excellent.””
