Ideal location, “city view” was not such a view. The bathroom smelled like old hot garbage. Not sure if it was the shower or something in the wall or what it was but it was very unpleasant for the duration of our stay. Tried keeping the bathroom window open and the bathroom door closed but it permeated throughout the room

The beds were comfortable and three staff members we met were friendly and helpful. However, calling this a "Boutique" hotel is a stretch! It's an old building, yes the rooms have been given make overs and the photos make it look really nice, but it's extremely basic. There's nowhere to be other than your room, there's air conditioning in rooms but none in tiny narrow entrance and hallways. The first corner room I had booked had a free-standing air conditioning unit with a large pipe going out an open window- not okay in the 90+ (30+ centigrade) degree weather Amsterdam was having! Luckily there was another room on same floor with proper air con. You're close to museums and the lovely old part of the city and the hotel is on the cheaper side. But there was street noise and sadly it was not the experience I'd hoped for.

It was a terrible experience. I’ve been to hotels in the world at least more than 50 times this year.. We paid a lot for the stay in comparing to the cheap hotels and expect to have a nice experience here, but except the location, unfortunately, everything was terrible. The air conditioner was Brocken, and the first day at the reception they told us that the room will be changed for the second night, but then they said it was fully booked, then they said they are confident to make the room cooled with a mobile air conditioner which was really loud and not much better .. basically it was just terrible warm(even the corridor were cooler..). But that’s fine, we survived during the cooling night. Then the bed was super bad, it’s just out of the condition, they should change it immediately, it’s not flat, my back felt super bad after two nights. AND the room was just not clean. Everywhere you can see Ants. We have some packt chocolate, fruits from the city and next day was full of ants so we need to through everything away. So, be careful here. I really don’t think it worth this price if they don’t make the condition of the room better.. terrible!

Good location, friendly staff and nice rooms. Only note is that the bathroom sink is too small to even wash your face in. Other than that we had a lovely stay.

Perfect cozy hotel for a good price in Amsterdam

Walking distance to Cruise Terminal even having to tote cases . Also close to central station and tram lines very handy to navigate around the city. Very nice buffet breakfast .

Hi! I gave it a 4 as I am use to a lobby with staff available 24/7. That isn’t the case here but the phone number provided they were pretty responsive, traveling solo I feel more comfortable with staff present. However the area was safe! I never felt threatened or afraid. Sebastian checked me in and was amazing!! They are only available 10:00-5 and after that you must use the phone number provided.

There is no full time staff at this place. There is supposed to be someone at reception from 10-6 everyday but we never saw anyone there. There was no breakfast as advertised in the listing. The AC in our room was broken so we were given a portable AC unit which requires the window to be open at all times for the exhaust pipe. Mohamed was nice. This is more of a house with many bedrooms than an actual hotel. Location is good however I would not recommend this place.

What a great location, just a short walk from all the major sights and museums. Staff were helpful and friendly with early luggage storage while we explored prior to check in and responsive to requests.

This was my favorite place from my Eurotrip. The staff was welcoming and warm. Really nice lady. Would definitely stay here again. The location is at a quiet location but still central. You can walk around

The service was excellent! Very friendly and made checking in and out easy. They are not onsite overnight but we had a contact number if we needed assistance. The rooms were clean and the bed was very comfortable. The location worked great for us! Our view was lovely but we didn’t spend a lot of time in the room.

I booked this property expecting a comfortable and reliable stay in Amsterdam, but it ended up being an absolute nightmare. I ended up checking out early because the conditions were completely unacceptable and unsafe. First and foremost is a major security concern: during a neighborhood power outage on our second night, someone attempted to break into our room using a key card. Fortunately, my wife and I had barricaded the door with a chair. When I tried to reach staff for help, their listed "emergency number" was completely disconnected. The service failures only compounded from there. Housekeeping completely abandoned our room. We went multiple days with three days of accumulated trash, no fresh towels, and they failed to even deliver basic toilet paper after multiple direct requests. Furthermore, the "air conditioning" advertised is actually just an ineffective swamp cooler that requires you to keep the window open to vent hot air, making the room incredibly hot and exposing us to extreme street noise all night. I reached out directly to management to request a partial refund for checking out early due to these severe safety and health/hygiene failures, and they have completely ignored my emails. Do not stay here. They take your money, provide zero service, and leave you in an unsecured building with no support.

The hotel is located on a corner within view of the canal. The hotel was petite and the stairs were classic Dutch stairs (tiny and steep). The air conditioning was a bit weak, we ended up opening the windows. Overall, the hotel functioned the way we needed it to. It was a place to rest during our adventures and it did the trick.

This is a nice hotel IF you don’t encounter any weather events including rain or heat, and as long as you don’t need any help outside of their hours 10am-6pm. We specifically booked this hotel for its air conditioning, which was critical during a heat wave. However the air conditioning machine in our room was very weak (our air conditioning in Paris a few days before was actually stronger despite the heat wave being worse there). We tried to endure but it became unbearable after a few nights. This hotel does not have 24-hour staff at the property. They have one person working at reception from 10am-6pm. After 6pm, there is an overnight phone number you can call. We called this to see if we could get help with the air conditioning or at least have it documented to be fixed the next day. Our call was answered right away and we were told they were sending a maintenance person, but no one ever came. We had plans all day the next day and could not speak to the staff in person so it was never fixed. Also, it rained heavily on our last night and the hotel lost power and running water into the next morning. At this point, we are packing for the airport and again, there’s no staff there that early and there’s no point calling them because we would have left before they even arrive.
