Efficient check in - but if you are arriving by car it’s a walk or a drop off one person whilst someone else parks option. The apartment is over 3 floors which means it feels spacious but the stairs are quite old and uneven and therefore unsuitable for people with mobility issues/ very small children. Bathroom was very clean and nice but toilet between upto 6 was a challenge. Beds were ok not very good mattress quality but had a topper which was an improvement. Didn’t use kitchen so can’t comment on this. What sets this place apart is location - set literally on the original city wall steps away from 500 years of history - you can literally imagine soldiers on the ramparts right next to your window. It is also walking distance to shops, attractions, restaurants, bars and the Minster

Great location and nice if rather Spartan studio. (With no coffee machine but many egg cups) It does have an outdoor space but again, rather basic. I was seduced by the images on their page, which seemed to offer greater luxury. For the price, we thought our studio was quite expensive. The area was great with easy access to key locations. Staff were helpful and sorted the WiFi issue. Towels were clean but hadn’t been dried properly, so had a fusty smell.

Check in was confusing. Address of management made a long walk from train station even longer.

Very nice apartment in superb location - out of the front door and straight into the shopping streets. We stayed in 'Viking quarters' which is on 2nd floor above the Goodramgate Apartments shop/office. Apartment is accessed via a side door and up 2 flight of stairs - no problem. We arrived early about 1.30pm but we were able to leave our bags in the apartment and we were given the keys for access after 3pm, after they had finished cleaning.

Our stay at Turpins Loft was brilliant. Great location, only 2 minutes from the Shambles and next door to Clifford’s Tower. Easy to get the keys and check in, not much communication needed prior to arrival. The place was clean, warm and modern with everything you needed for a short or longer stay. No issues with noise apart from the occasional traffic sounds at night, but nothing to keep you awake. Would stay here again in a heart beat.

The location was fantastic, and it was right beside the ancient wall. The apartment was spacious, but the entire building leaned what felt like three degrees which was quite a surprise when I got out of bed in the night.

Wonderful location and great space for spending a few nights! Loved it!

The property we stayed in was not like the pictures. Although the apartment we stayed in was in a great location, it wasn’t close to the pictures in the Hotels.com website. The pictures were very misleading.

Comfortable and spacious living in the center of York!

The staff were so lovely and smiley. The apartment was gorgeous and clean, couldn’t fault it. You can hear outdoor noises which can’t be helped.

Location was great and the apartment was charming. The window seemed to leak so there was cold air and it would have been nice if there was some salt and pepper in the kitchen. But over all it was pretty well equipped.

The location was brliant. The appartment was tired and notnwhat I was expecting for 330 a night. I could have got a top end hotel foe this amount, this was a basic apartment that needs some decorating. Overpriced and wont use them again.

Very few properties are perfect and this property had a few issues, but these pale in comparison to the convenience, location, professionalism, and cleanliness. The staff more were truly amazing and they themselves deserve five stars. They were accommodating, considerate, professional, efficient, kind, and truly represented the very best of York. I would be inclined to make these apartments my go to place for any future visits to York.

You cannot get more central in York. And probably not more noisy. Well equipped apartment but you could hear the neighbours 24/7. Slightly off putting. But the staff and location is almost worth the noise. We shall return. And opt for a bigger flat next time.

Apartment was very noisy You can hear absolutely everything from people walking up and down stairs and people on top banging doors and walking about. If your looking for quietness to sleep then this is the place The apartment itself is good but could do with a freshen up with paint and noticed a lot of cobwebs on ceilings Comfy bed and great area Would I stay here again ? No due to it being very noisy

Perfect location and well equipped apartment.

Great building in a great location. On the Wall a few blocks from The Shambles and The Minster and other interests including food. Lots of room, nice kitchen, and it was great to have a person there when we arrived. The beds were a little bit soft.

We stayed in Friars Fold and it was wonderful! Plenty of room, extremely well appointed and exceeded our expectations!! I would highly recommend staying there when in York.
