Lovely clean room, had everything I needed. Comfy bed . Only negative comment I have is the room was very hot and the Dyson fan didn't work properly. Everything else was perfect and I would definitely stay again

Lovely clean modern decor in the rooms fridge and added bonus of a fan!

The accessible wet room facilities with drop down seat and grab bars were great - just what we needed, and not at all clinical - a real bonus. The shower, with its 2 different heads, was just perfect, easy to use, powerful and it was easy to adjust to and maintain the required temperature. The room was spacious. There were two small easy chairs and a table. There were a variety of different lighting options which was nice. The usual hair dryer and kettle / tea and coffee facilities, were also complemented by a high quality fan and very useful drinks fridge - a real bonus. There are a couple of small streps into the building from the street, but a portable ramp is stored handily behind the door, which is thoughtfully equipped with a hook for ease of access and use. Food in the hotel was nice and competitively priced. The hotel was very well situated within the village across from the park, a small supermarket and bus stop. We would definitely recommend a stay here.

The staff were very helpful and made us welcome. The room was modern and looked as it had been recently renovated. Overall very pleased and will be returning.

Lovely, lovely place. Comfortable bed and great shower in our beautifully decorated room. Two very slight downsides... The creaking of the laminate floor in the room and the full english breakfast could've used another egg, another slice of toast and another hash brown. Those are the most minor of gripes, though, and no way would either stop us returning. Excellent pub food served downstairs from a very extensive menu. Only a 15 minute bus ride into Scarborough centre - bus stop directly outside - where I'd expect to pay more than double for this standard of accommodation.

Room cleaned and serviced every day. Staff were always friendly and helpful with any request. Good full English breakfast but only a limited continental option available. Good selection of beers at the bar. There is also locally made ice cream available all day long. Restaurant meals from midday to 9pm. A carvery roast on Sunday is not to be missed. We were there for a week long touring holiday and would be happy to stay there again. Dave & Pam Bradley

Stayed 1 night to go to the open air in Scarborough. Although a few miles away there’s a bus stop across the road that goes into Scarborough, and also a bus at the open air that takes you back, so ideal.

Nice big room and bathroom, the only downside was staying there during a hot spell and the bathroom got the sum very early morning and the bedroom for the rest of the day making it unbearable to sleep in, even though there was a fan provided. The bottom sheet didnt fit the bed properly so with shuffling due to the heat it didnt stay on for long. Great location and a good base for visiting the area and plenty of parking. We had breakfast but wished we hadnt as it was very disappointing when compared to those experienced when staying in other pubs. There was a choice of cereal, yogurt and a small hot menu which was fine, but the quality of produce wasnt great. Would we stay here again probably, but just skip the food.

Quality modern accommodation. We rebooked a second night as we enjoyed it so much. Staff are very friendly and helpful. There is a lovely pub next door (part of the hotel) which has a great atmosphere, serves lovely food, drinks and even has a soft play area. There is a park opposite the accommodation and a supermarket 50rds on the same road. We will definitely be booking again. Thankyou for looking after us 😊 !

The hotel and room we stayed in overall was good, but on the 2 days we were there the bar staff and lady who booked us in at reception appeared miserable and lacked any personality. They all looked fed up as if they didn’t want to be there. Everything they did appeared to be an effort. Nobody was willing to have a friendly chat and pass the time of day, even though they were pretty quiet. The breakfast was nice, but for coffee they only had whole milk available which I really dislike. When I kindly enquired if they had skimmed or semi skimmed at all. the lady said no and just walked off. In my opinion, the staff working there, seriously do need to improve on their personality and interaction with guests. I appreciate that their job can be demanding at times but a little smile and a general chat would make such a difference to guests and make them feel happier staying there. We paid a lot of money to stay there, and I believe that a friendly face and a smile by staff would make the experience of staying at Mayfield so much better.

Good location

2 night stay . Room was nice however sgtet fitst night stay the sink and shower hadnt been cleaned or toiletries left. Couldnt turn radiator down so room very hot.

The room was not cleaned prior to use we found a small shard of glass next to the fridge. The thermostatic valve on the radiator was broken so no control of the room temperature the shower hose was split and the cleaning was very poor we got coffee replaced daily and that was it we had to wash our cups out and make the bed up every day not big things but enough to put you off going again
