Lovely 3 night stay at the Clementine. Comfortable bed (best sleep in ages), interesting and quirky things to look at whilst there, lovely staff (especially the young chap serving at breakfast, friendly and lots of smiles), lovely breakfast too. All in all a fab break - ps York was good too, short walk to the centre.

Great location east walk into York centre. Free parking on the road outside between 5pm-8pm. Clean, comfortable room.

Never had a bad stay here. Can’t say enough good about the place. Clean, friendly, great breakfasts. A special place we look to visit 2/3 times a year. Already counting down to our next visit

O quarto mais lindo que já fiquei! Quarto limpo, equipe de funcionários extremamente simpática e disposta. Única reclamação é que o banheiro volta um pouco de cheiro do ralo, porem, facilmente resolvido fechando a porta do banheiro.

Really enjoyed my stay. Was very relaxing. Home from home not like the average hotel. Good selection of drinks at the bar and in your room. Big dispensers of shampoo/body wash, conditioner, hand soap and body lotion in my Queen room. The Queen room is perfect for one guest. Absolutely delicious breakfasts. Very friendly staff. Will definitely return on my next visit to York.

Staff frendly and welcoming, room and reception very clean, a small walk into York car parking extra although we stayed on a Sunday and it was free parking on the side street, a very pleasant stay would definitely recommend.

Room was beautifully decorated, clean and nice touch with toiletries. Staff were friendly and helpful. It’s in a great location to walk up into York and having its own bar is a great bonus.

Not our 1st visit, but our 2nd and it was a truly wonderful stay. The rooms we had are stunning with four poster beds and gorgeous unique styles. The staff here are really lovely and a credit to Laura xx The breakfast is 5 stars and they use only the best produce. Something to really look forward to is meeting Teddy, the resident star- he's their lovely cat and is so friendly. This stunning Boutique hotel is situated in the centre of York, only a few hundred metres away from the wall and a ten minute walk to the shambles. If you are looking for a truly lovely stay, look no further xx oh and they scored 10s right across the board when featured on Four in a Bed in 2025 xx we will definitely return xx

Staff friendly and helpful. Lovely building and rooms and bathrooms spotless. Tea, coffee and chocolate drinks available in room . Some snack bars also available free in room. Plus large bottle of water.

The receptionist was so friendly and welcoming, the hotel is beautiful, clean and has wonderful decor. Its in a great location. The biscuits and hot chocolate were a lovely touch. Very comfortable bed too.

The staff are amazing, especially Georgia who helped us get settled the first night. The hotel is so beautiful and the room was amazing. Highly recommended staying here, only 10 minutes from the centre. Perfect place to stay in York

The room was very clean and the staff were very helpful

Clean spacious room with good amenities and the individual designs are a great change from standard hotels where all rooms are the same. Staff were all great from check in and out, to breakfast and the mini tour on arrival was a nice touch ie being shown to room etc. We were also able to check in early which was a big help asxwe could go out for rest of day without breaking off to check in. Offer of fresh milk for drinks in the room is also a welcome gesture. Breakfast was really good with lots of choice for the cooked to order part. Parking is limited (we know this is common for York) but well managed and space maximised which is a bonus so near city centre. Would definitely stay again!
