Staff very friendly and welcoming.

Everything concerning The Saracens Head was commendable. Staff in particular. Parking good. Decent size room. Evening meal and Breakfast.

I've never written a bad review before as I've never needed to but I felt I had to. It was the hottest day of the year. The fan that they supplied in our room was tiny and didn't work properly. There was also no air conditioning and the shower had 2 settings - scolding hot or off. It also broke in my hand. When we ate in the restaurant the food was lovely however we got given the food with no cutlery so had to wait for the waitress to go away and come back a few minutes later as our food was going cold.

Good breakfast, nice bar, free parking and lovely staff. Hotel full of old world charm. Easy to find. Decent room but ground floor and unfortunately the window was just inches away from a noisy beer garden, so had to keep curtains closed and didn’t get much peace.

The hotel is tired and needs to be refurbished feel sorry for the staff as a lot of people complaining the staff were fantastic

A lovely 1-night stay. The property as a whole, including the room, was clean and tidy. The staff were from arrival until we left were very friendly and helpful. We will absolutely stay here again if we are in the area.

We arrived late and checked in. Staff were friendly. The room was very nice, especially for the price. We had a drink and a bite to eat in the bar, which was busy and a lovely atmosphere. Would stay again.

Clean room food excellent

This was a great place to stay. The room was very clean and the female receptionist was incredibly helpful and welcoming. A credit to the place. Only thing that stopped it from being 5 stars was lack of info at breakfast. We ordered and only became aware that there was bread, juice and other items available when we saw the waitress carry them away at the end of breakfast. It wasn’t visible from where we sat so a heads up would’ve been helpful. Still would recommend.

The room is a nice size, clean, but very very dated, the shower was in the bath and not very good. The hotel itself is located not far from Stansted airport and it's the only reason I would consider booking again. The parking at the hotel is very poor and pretty much a free for all but the car park next door is free between 6pm to 8am with proper painted bays where people park rather than just abandon their cars. All in all it was an ok choice of a place to stay for an early flight but I doubt we would book again
