very polite staff throughout who dealt with us, clean rooms and throughout the hotel. food was great :)

Overall the stay was fine, nothing alarming. Hotel looked really nice as we entered. However, the quality and standard of rooms were below expectations of a high reviewed/ star hotel. One example being the bathroom, shower heads were not consistent in the water pressure and so caused a lot of spraying all across. The bath protector was way too short and so it was very hard to keep all the water contained in. Shower heads themselves were very dirty. With the room, it was incredibly dusty. A lot of grime across a lot of the corners of the rooms. The fan was a small plastic fan, and was incredibly loud. Also, with one of the rooms we booked, there was no hot water. There was no mini fridge. Breakfast options were very limited and unfortunately not the best tasting. Given after all this, the stay itself was fine, however definitely not worth the stars or reviews I’ve seen I’m afraid.

Everything was as good as always. The room, the grounds, the food, the staff, were superb. Looking forward to returning

Spectacular from the start the hotel looks amazing from the driveway- reception staff were amazing- our honey moon suite perhaps the best room we have stayed in , in the Uk - called Spring. The bar tenders were great with cocktails and some LP the evening meal was great value and tasty - no noise from the wedding- fabulous sleep. Lovely breakfast- walk down to the abbey ruins in the morning- can’t fault it - just needs a spa😂

Excellent staff team, clean smart hotel, quality food, breakfast lunch and dinner, not too expensive, hotel request was made and a nice upgrade offered on arrival. Clean and tidy bathroom, Would stay again.

Enjoyable stay as always

Brilliant stay as always and conference staff amazing!

First time staying and would probably stay again. The room was lovely, clean and the shower was good. Dinner was disappointing. The mushroom croquettes to start were tasteless and barely a mushroom. Burger was fairly average, way too much burger sauce, that’s all you could taste. Breakfast was nice. Plenty of options. I arrived late and was only there a short time so no idea what the surroundings were like.

Great stay but there was a wedding on (which we were warned about before) so noisy with music and children running about. Room fairly small but a really nice bathroom, comfy bed and a first class breakfast, would not hesitate staying again.

Stayed a few times now and a great hotel, unfortunately this time the room was not up to the previous standards.. The shower tray drain must have been blocked and over flowed in no time at all and i had to turn the shower off and on as it was flooding the floor, the room key was very temperamental even after reprogramming twice by a very helpful member of staff it still didn't work. My wife and I would definitely stay again but the maintenance maybe needs improving.
