Thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay . On arrival found we had everything we needed in our lovely clean room which was being serviced daily as were the restocking of nice biscuits , choice of beverages etc on tea tray. All the staff we encountered were so helpful and very friendly, the breakfasts were always very delicious and felt like a proper feast to start the day . Short walk to beach and high street very good frequent bus services from there to all over the island which meant we hardly used our car preferring to leave it parked in the hotels own private car park. We didn’t use these facilities ourselves but there is a swimming pool and games room onsite plus a bar open during the evenings . Reason for staying was to attend the annual music festival in Newport and this made a perfect base for us to do that especially when using the special Festival buses service that’s running whilst it’s on taking us directly to the festivals main entrance and dropping us back in the early hours giving us just a short walk from high street back to hotel , a key was issued with room key for late access if main door was locked . Wouldn’t hesitate to return even if not attending the festival as it makes a perfect base to explore the island and have a relaxing break away.

I liked the retro feel of the Wight, and the very friendly and helpful staff.

Regarding breakfast - being vegetarian the options were very limited and portion size was also small. After asking for more it was told they it's fixed food size and extra means extra price. I think breakfast option should be more appropriate and it's handling should be done more appropriate like other hotels as it is not good to restrict the person for eating when they are paying so much for the stay.

The hotel was smart clean and tidy, the swimming pool was great. Breakfast was tasty overall very impressed.

Unfortunately due to illness, I was unable to journey to The Sight. I attempted three times to contact Hotels.com via their support email address to explain the situation but never received a reply. When contacted by The Wight as to my non arrival,I sent a message 'Caancelled Booking' ((

The staff at The Wight clearly care about their job & were very warm & keen to help. There is excellent information available about the island. The hotel is dated, but very clean, coordinated & in good repair. The photos advertised were accurate. We didn't try the facilities as only stayed one night. Breakfast was cooked to order & we were able to chose our items individually. It was basic but reasonable. Soya milk available for me as a vegan, but no vegan spread or protein alternatives. The mattresses could do with being replaced as they were a bit soft & the springs could be felt a bit. On the whole would recommend for someone staying in the area.

Excellent in every way. Brilliant breakfast menu, Staff friendly and not intrusive. Fabulous swimming pool and great location. Will certainly be going back.

Very conveniently located, with plenty of parking. Staff very helpful. Shower room was quite small, with a big step into the shower,which may be a challenge for the less mobile.Couldn't get kettle under the tap to fill it up. Swimming pool was an added bonus, with jacuzzi, sauna & steam room. Breakfast very good. Decor bit dated, but everywhere clean.

Our stay at the Wight Hotel in Sandown was absolutely brilliant. Full Monty breakfast was first class. The staff were great - nothing was too much trouble for them; so friendly and helpful. we were made to feel very welcome and soon made ourselves at home enjoying the friendly Wight atmosphere and all the services which were available. some great nights in the bar with the entertainment. The hotel is located close to all the amenities and bus stops. what more could you want for a great holiday in a great hotel.

Loved the breakfast options, all freshly cooked abd lots of choice.
