Good location right in the middle of town. Only problem was no onsite parking.

Our room was small but very clean and had all the amenities we required. Staff were very helpful. The cooked breakfast was very good. The addition of some fruit to the cereals would be nice.

Thought the location would be noisy, but the rooms were nicely tucked away behind the pub. Rooms are not spacious, but are well maintained and cleaned daily. Only issue I came across was that the shower waste needs some drain unblocker, but I'm not going to score them down for something that might never have been reported to them. Would definately recommend for a one or two night stay. Buxton too, is well worth a visit.

I always enjoy staying at Queens head when I am in Buxton: good people, good service and unpretentious lovely place to stay.

A lovely clean room.....staff were very friendly and helpful...breakfast was fresh and good. Bar was busy with very friendly customers. We traveled down from Scarborough for football v Buxton...after the game the bar was very busy but the home supporters made us very welcom.

Really lovely room, set away from the pub. A band playing on Saturday night, and couldn't hear them from my room. Staff lovely, as we're the regulars who I got chatting to when I popped into the pub for a drink. Thanks for a great stay

Room clean, bathroom a bit small (room 10). Staff friendly and welcoming. Enjoyed the entertainment - which is why we chose this hotel at weekends.

Lovely clean room & very little noise from the pub, which was absolutely rocking, on Saturday night. Helpful & friendly staff (who also sorted the heating for us). My Mum had the ground floor ‘accessible’ room as she has trouble with stairs & that’s AMAZING. It’s a great spot to access the town: love Buxton. Our second time there & will be returning.

Fantastic stay. Staff really friendly and helpful. The room was first class, could not fault. Would definitely recommend and will return for another stay in the future.

Beware. The first photo paints a brighter picture than the reality, which is a courtyard at the back of a standard drinkers pub , which would never be described as warm and cosy. Despite the photo, the courtyard is full of wooden benches and a temporary structure for smokers. It's a simple bed and breakfast that is clean and if priced accordingly would be OK. Despite having to go through the pub the room was quiet. But it is not priced accordingly. I wouldn't recommend or stay again.

Very clean .excellent location and great staff.live music was great only downside was the breakfast was on the small side for £12.50.but they have gone out of there way to post something back to me which I left in my room

Staff were very friendly, allowed us to check in early, room was spotlessly clean and very well equipped

Full English was spot om, plenty of options and service was likewise.
