We have been visiting the White Lion normally around 3 times a year since 1994. We have witnessed some major changes and improvements over the years. The White Lion is without doubt the best place to stay in Hebden Bridge. Improvements to the hotel are ongoing and noticeable every time we visit. The bar and restaurant areas have been refurbished and the rooms are being modernised to a very high standard. All staff are always very pleasant and have a 'can do' approach. In fact they all have excellent customer service and communication skills. Dining in the White Lion is always a pleasure with a varied and very tasty menu. Breakfast is the best in Hebden with high quality locally sourced ingredients. The White Lion is located in the very centre of Hebden Bridge, close to all local bars and restaurants and offers free parking which is a luxury in Hebden. Not many other places offer this. Staying at the White Lion is also very reasonably priced. We would not stay anywhere else. It's high end quality and excellent value for money. We will be returning soon and will continue to recommend the White Lion to all our friends and family.

The room was excellent. The stairs were a slight problem.

A really lovely hotel, fab location. Amazing breakfast. Such a pretty place, lots of lovely bars, cafes & independent shops. Highly recommend it.

Ideal location

A very busy pub, very helpful staff, the room was very impressive, comfy bed and very clean. Complimentary bathroom accessories and a very good variety of milk, teas and coffees. We had a meal in the restaurant in the evening which we thoroughly enjoyed our chilli beef vermicelli dish with dessert to follow, I would recommend booking when you arrive as it gets busy. Breakfast was also very good with variety of choices and on request gluten free muffins. Had a lovely time exploring around the town, canal , park and Hardcastle Craggs giving you 3 options how active you are to explore.

We have just had a very lovely 3 night stay at the White Lion. The rooms were clean, well presented with a comfy bed. Breakfasts were very good. The staff were all friendly and very helpful. Would highly recommend if you wish to stay in Hebden Bridge.

Really enjoyed our stay. Lunch and breakfast were excellent and the room was great.

Spacious courtyard room but close to the main building but beware of the cobbles! Staff were very friendly and helpful and anything asked for was dealt with quickly. Good vhoise on the breakfast menu but we found that some of the items arrived either overcooked or have been stored in a hot box until required. As for the bar there was an superb selection of cask beers and a great gin collection

Lovely hotel, clean, modern rooms. Excellent customer service. Many shops, restaurants, pubs close by. Local market, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, Sunday. White Lion close to bus stop to Haworth.

Really enjoyable stay at the White Lion. Room was very comfortable and clean. Staff were friendly and very well trained. Chefs were outstanding for breakfast and evening meals. Location of the hotel is ideal for visiting Hebden Bridge and the surrounding area.
